I don't like it, the camera is always spinning around the action giving you angles where you cant see punch connections, why can't they have a more settled camera, look at the hbo or sky camera work, but for some reason, the german direction of the fight is awful IMO, doesn't really get you in to the action. I know it's a question of preference but i can't stand it. Anyone else feel the same?
no but seriously, does it not annoy you? doesn't really pull you in. it's all over the place. Watch some on youtube, you'll see what I mean.
i've never felt absorbed in a fight with german tv coverage. Not just the camera angles. You dont feel any of the atmosphere either. Is that because the crowd really is **** in germany? I agree though i have never enjoyed German Boxing coverage
for example the action hots up, but the camera starts panning around behind the fighters, so you cant see what is landing or being blocked etc. And yes the atmosphere is dead but for me the camera thing is far worse an issue. Would like to hear from Germans too on this who watch the coverage.
I thought the crowd were quite lively last night, even before the boos. They were even throwing drinks at Solis as he walked out.
German sports events mirror German Food. Large, Sterile, and bland. I mean, these people can't even make potato salad so working a live camera would definitely be, challenging.
lol As funny as that was, this ain't a knock on Germans, just how the hell can you watch a fight that is presented like that??
I agree that the camerawork is very problematic. While the camera is busy flying around, I feel like I'm missing a third of the action and find myself praying that nothing happens during that time because I'm afraid I'm going to miss it until I see the replay. Whoever is in charge needs to seriously reconsider this strategy. Everything else about the show is first rate. I suspect that the powers-that-be are simply trying to differentiate themselves stylistically from HBO, Showtime, et al. If that's true, I understand. But, when it comes to those other networks, I always feel like the camera is in the right place and I always feel like I'm seeing everything that's important to see.
The Germans always loved to think their camerawork was somehow "superior": [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwmYFz01MxA&feature=related[/ame]
it is so bad, can't even explain how bad it is. they want too reinvent the wheel and it totaly failed atschatschatschatschatsch
