    :yep

    "Irish".

Overall my nods go to "Touch of Sleep" and the embarrassing "Boxing" Andrew Maynard.

Because if you have an iconic one, it becomes part of your gimmick, sometimes it is your gimmick....

Buster Douglas, Bonecrusher Smith, Razor Ruddock, Bomber Graham, Iron Hague, Second to Nunn...

There are plenty of even seasoned boxing fans, who would struggle to give the above their real first names, of the top of their heads...

    Riddick 'Batman' Bowe.

His first nickname, and he even wore a Batman cape, mask and garb.
Then he started in with reciting poems, like you know who.

    A complete phony...............

Marcus "Tuna" Rhodes. Goofi Whitaker was already mentioned and that one actually probably has my vote. Jimmy "The Jew Killer" McLarnin was pretty bad too.

Some boxing journalists were calling Cassius Clay '78 IQ' after he
failed the Selective Service Mental Aptitude Test.

    That wasn't very nice.
Even claiming that he changed his name to Ali, because he couldn't spell
    four-letter words.

    Frankie 'Funtime' Gavin

Funtime sounds like a Bangkok brothel with ping-pong balls bouncing off the walls. Terrible nickname.
