Depends on what team Solis new before the event.

When you damage a Knee sometimes they never recover properly and you always have a weak knee. Now Stevenson on another thread said it originally injury happened in the barritt or burnett fight. if that is the case Solis deserves a re-match.

Solis team obviousily took advice on the injury before hand (perhaps saving a weak knee is better), may be the advice was wrong, maybe it a 50/50 guess was the best the expert could do.

If happened after the Austen fight and team Solis were being optermistic at best it would be okay, then no a rematch is not warranted.

Unfortunately time Solis knee is better (Vitali would be his rights to demand Solis proves the knee by having another fight once it is fixed) Vitali is likely to be retired. Solis with a warm up fight is eighteen months away.

Personally I think it was totally a matter of the injury that stopped the fight. If there was a rematch I wouldnt be against it. Solis looked pretty good before the injury.

Vitali should be begging for a rematch & the chance at redeeming himself.

    Clear event win for Solis.

The fans will flock to this rematch if Vitali is man enough to accept it. They could sell it with the angle that Vitali will be out to redeem himself and prove that Solis only won the event on a fluke.

Solis was clearly hurt, wobbled and knocked down by a deceptively hard right hook counter punch from a very heavy handed 6'7 250 lbs monster. He never saw the punch coming. The punch ****ed up Solis equilibrium, disoriented him and made him do a Judah chicken dance.

Vitali wins by 1st round KO

Should'nt the promotors be paying back some of the money to the audience and TV companies before they start pushing for rematch.

He might get a rematch if the WBC are dumb enough to keep him #1, but he's not going to be in a gym let alone a ring for at least six months. And he's lying that he wasn't shaken by the temple shot. That grease ball manager Oner has briefed him on that I know.

Solis was scared shitless before the first fight, where he got koed and ****ed up his knee. I dont think after the painfull rehab he will be willing to get in the ring with the same guy. That Omer guys is just doing a damage control as he promiced to retire if Solis would lose.
