There was this one poster who spent several months trying to tell you guys there there was something phony about Martinez. Gee -- I wonder who that was?

How is he phony? For wanting to fight the best fighter in the world at a weight pac recently fought at?

Pac recently fought at 150lbs. He realized that his opponent is too big for him at this weight and hence he decided to go back to 147lbs. Can Sergio still make 150lbs? Floyd has more of a case to fight Sergio at 154lbs. Floyd has a bigger frame and can make 154lbs but why would he do that if his optimum weight is at WW? Pac's optimum weight is at JWW, btw.

Sergio better give up on this fantasy and clean up his division or look one more division above him.

I am really starting to get sick of Martinez. Has he called out Donaire yet? Perhaps he will offer Nonito a catch weight bout at 157. LOL

Sorry if that angle was already used. I did not read the entire thread.

Actually Sergio (or DiBella) has said he can't go below 156 and would have to cut off a leg to make 150. So much for being a "small middleweight".

    Ha
Pac should tell him sure at 147 with auto DQ for not making weight clause.
    And then just laugh.

You weren't alone. The conditions under which Martinez beat Pavlik make that win suspect. If a version of Pavlik that struggled horribly with weight, and was in the midst of a crisis with alcoholism can win 5 rounds and knock Martinez down, what would a healthy Pavlik do to him?

while 10 fights ago, Pac fought Morales.
