I've been keeping away from the news as I just watched all the fights from the weekend, what's been said, will Solis get another shot?

Hats of to Solis, he wasn't shitting his pants during the whole spectacle of Vitali walking in and the announcements like all the rest of them do, he looked like he was lounging around on his couch as they were announcing the fighters, and even enjoying himself. This man has balls of steel and can box. My hat off to him.

He can get another shot if he gets a few wins over other top contenders. No way should he get an immediate rematch after a TKO loss.

Solis may never box again, seriously. By the time he recovers from the surgeries and does his rehab, the guy will be like 300 pounds.

If he shows signs of getting in shape. If not, no one will buy tickets to see him fight after his last spectacle.

By in shape I mean at LEAST 230.

Given the limited opponent options for Vitlai to build a credible fight these days, I woudln't doubt it.

But regardless, I doubt Vitali will still be fighting by the time SOlis is healed, ready and trained.

Beat a top 10 opponent in your career and you deserve ONE title shot. Solis has yet to do that, so hell no.

I agree. He should have to fight Peter, Povetkin, etc. before getting anywhere near a title shot again. Chances are he'll be fighting Wladimir instead.

Why would he? If he beats a couple top 5 opponents, then sure... but not now. His legs were completely gone from one shot in the first round. Yes, he hurt his knee BECAUSE his legs were gone, and BOTH legs were still gone when the count was finished. He hurt his right knee because he fell so awkward... however even when he got back up his left leg was still wobbling too.

probably not at Vitali. He is at least couple of years removed from another mandatory shot now.

His victory over the Great Ray Austin buys him at least 10 title shots in my book. :nut

He didn't deserve his first shot at the title.

    This...^

But I'm hearing it may be 6 months of healing time? If he's not active for while he will ballon to over 300lbs! This may be a career ender for him, or at least as a top contender. It all depends if he stays in decent shape during his time off...

Yes, no question he deserves another crack at the title, it would be hypocritical for Vitali not to give him another shot. Solis really has no choice but to lose weight, if he stays at the same weight or gets heavier he would be risking future damage or the injury re occuring, im sure he will know this and im positive he would have been told by the docter who is dealing with him. He should either outright quit or make a good go of it otherwise he is incredibly stupid to put further strain on that knee.

I say being able to not **** your pants stepping into the ring and boxing the first round the way he did is more of a qualifier than beating all the Sam Peters or xys of the world.

The unfinished round Solis put together provided me with more of a thrill than the last 5 Vitali fights put together.

What good is it if you're even better than Solis if you break down mentally once the lights start shining?

Honestly, folks, whom would you rather see get the shot than Solis?
