Calm down kiddo. It's nothing like Judah-Mayweather and "limited" Dirrell beat a supposedly intelligent Froch on the move - there was a major difference in total AND quality punches landed. DeGale would have troubles cutting Froch down and is open for well timed shots. Needs a lot of work but hey, he's getting there.

Dirrell has great speed and athletecism, but he has already proven, his mentality is badly flawed, and that cannot be fixed, he also only has one string to his bow, neutralise his speed and what is left?

Degale can box inside and outside, going backwards or coming forward, fight effectivley and hurt you off the ropes, switch hit at a higher level than Dirrell, better defence than Dirrell (when he is being serious)

Dirrell looked good against Abraham but Froch looked better. I think DeGale v Dirrell would be a good fight in 12-18 months.

 

If Froch fights Dirrell again he will not be sprinting around the ring slinging hayemakers from the floor at Dirrells head.

Expect Froch to actually be moving backwards, and countering Dirrell

 

I think DeGale is a great prospect but you are getting carried away. Dirrell is probably the most skillful boxer at 168 and would give DeGale a lesson. Dirrell might be lacking testicles but he's still a terrific boxer. Give DeGale another 5 or 6 fights before you can think about him fighting top talents like Dirrell.

If Froch was more skilled than Dirrell how come Dirrell outboxed him? Dirrell is an extremely accurate puncher with both hands and has excellent lateral movement. And he is athletic, as you pointed out.

 

I can't believe there is any debate over this. DeGale is a leaden footed chump.

I know he's always had boxing skills, he just loves fighting. I'd favour Dirrell, however...Dirrell has been rather inactive due to his "injury".

Because he was FASTER and frustrated him through speed, he wasn't shoulder rolling, feinting, using inside fighting, he won the fight with his legs, hence ATHLETIC.

Do you really think if you took Dirrells speed down to the level of Carl Froch he could stand off him and outbox him? NO
