Sounds like it would be a great fight. Mayorga could actually pull that off. What you think?:think

Not very interested, Margarito would pound him out.
But if nothing else can be made for Tony, I'd watch.

the mayorga that just fought cotto would kill margarito. imo mayorga has more power and a better chin. lets not forget margarito usually breaks his opponents down much slower than mayorga . . .

Mayorga TKO. He showed in the Cotto fight that he is still the best fighter alive.
That man has no quit in him.

Lmao at this fight because the entertainment value would be priceless. Honestly speaking though Ricardo still has a pretty quick trigger and when he can see a punch coming he can take it like champ. Ricardo probably has the better defense and the heavier hands....Antonios advantage is his pressure it would be fun to watch

This is a fight I have wanted to see for a while and I'd still like to see it at this point. I think if Margarito loses to Cotto then this would be a good fight to make. If Margarito beats Cotto I can see him moving onto bigger things like rematches with Martinez or Williams or a fight with Angulo but if loses then this is the perfect undercard fight for one of Arum's ppv shows. I don't know who wins, its a tough fight to call, but it couldn't help but be wild and entertaining.

Nope, not at this point. Mayorga is pretty much as done as I figured he was..... the man has enough to go rounds these days, but is no real danger to any top level opponent, even one on the slide like Margarito. The difference? Ones on the slide, the other is near 40 years old and shot.

Margarito would give Mayorga a beating at this point.... pointless fight, and Mayorga needs to retire.

Margarito should be gunning for Cotto, Berto, Angulo, Alvarez, Cintron, even go after a mosley rematch only to regain that lost momentum by also avenging a defeat.... but not a shot Mayorga.

Considering how badly beaten up Margarito got in his past 2 big fights,he may not have it in him to continue fighting

Once Margarito loses to Cotto, hopefully, I would love to see that fight. As long as Mayorga conditions himself, it would be a great fight. He's got the size and power to at least put a dent in Margarito, I think.
