    Bernard Hopkins

hes a 46 year old Veteran fighter that can still whipp ass even though way past his prime.

    James Kirkland

Always coming in looking for the knockout and to trade bombs, exciting style.

    Paul Williams

Throws a respectable 80 - 100 punches a round and will fight anyone from 147 to 160. You dont see that often.

    Miguel Cotto

Hes never in a boring fight,Doesnt duck anyone,Always wants to fight the Best.

    Manny Pacquiao

I shouldent even have to explain why hes one of my current favorites. Just look at what he dones in his career. This is coming from someone who was a Pacquiao critic 2 years ago.

Manny Pac - beast who comes to fight. he's been a great ambassador for the sport in and out of the ring.

Nonito Donaire - i love his style and in comparison to his fellow pinoys, i can totally see the Fil-American in his game. if his chin holds up while climbing the ranks, the sky is the limit for someone this athlectic and talented.

Floyd Mayweather - i can only appreciate him in the ring now. ever since the steroid smear campaign started, i can no longer stand this mental midget in street clothes. but in the ring, he's ****in brilliant.

Marcos Maidana - bad ass mofo.

Bernard Hopkins - his longevity at this level is amazing. the more he fights, the smarter he gets.

Honorable mentions - Rios, Ward, Khan, JMM, Cotto, JML, Gamboa.

the reason i like these guys is that they all show incredible ability. Some for their intelligence, some their speed, some their power, their chin, their stamina... or a combination

Mostly, I like fighters who are dynamic and intelligent. I like fighters who use their brain and have quick reaction times and who fight on a high level of mind speed. There are some exceptions like Margarito who just unbelieavable stamina and punch resistance and who I believe is an underrated fighter. Also, Montreal fighters are my favorites by default.

1.Floyd Mayweather- Most skilled fighter in the sport. He is also the most complete boxer in the last 20 years. The way he makes good/great fighters look amateur is amazing.
2.Andre Ward- Can do anything in the ring. His technical skill is amazing. Any way you want it, Andre Ward will give it. Future number 1 p4p fighter.
3.Bernard Hopkins- At 46 years old and still whipping people half his age. He must have drank from the fountain of youth. Hopkins has the skill to out box you and out fight you. IMO the true fighter of the decade. Completely cleaned out the middleweight division. One of the greatest middleweights of all time.
    4. JMM- Man does he have heart. How can you not like Marquez? Along with heart he has undeniable skill. The second best counter puncher in the business next to Money May. He is also very consistent. I commend Marquez for going up to Welter and taking on Mayweather. A truly great fighter and arguably an all time great.
    5. Tim Bradley- Not the most athletic or the most skilled, but he determined and wants to be the best. Willing to take on all comers. He does everything good but nothing great. Tim also has all around skill. IMO the best 140 fighter. He may not be the most skilled but his heart and determination will help him overcome skill

Just the first names that comes to mind
    Pacquiao
    Kessler
    W. Klit
    V. Klit
    Froch
    Mosley
    Cotto
    Moyorga

The thing most of them have in common is that they are good diciplined fighters, and have heart and courage! They rarely disrepect their opponents (Well, except two of them) i like that attitude.
The reason i like Froch and Moyorga is that they are beasts in the ring, and are so freaking funny and delusional at times. Hard not to like them:) And Froch turned out to be a much better fighter than i thought

"Sugar" Shane Mosley - Yeah the Sugar man may not be sweet any more and yes he may not be as exciting either but the guys past will keep me a fan until he retires. If anything I respect him more than the aged Bernard Hopkins, who while making history, isn't fighting guys like Dawson and Bute. Shane on the other hand wants to fight the Margaritos, Pacquiaos and Mayweathers. Got to respect a 40 year old who wants to do that.

Bernard Hopkins - Ok, once again maybe not that exciting any more but once again, I'm letting the past and his quest for the greatest legacy possible influence my decision. The guy has made young stars like Kelly Pavlik and Jean Pascal look like children while he is at the age where he should need a walking stick to get into the ring (BBC jokes welcome). His work ethic, bouts of arrogance, and respect for the games past make me like him that much more.

Michael Katsidis - Ok, the guy is a mighty flawed fighter. He's lost the majority of his big fights, yet that doesn't stop me rating him as one of my favourite fighters. He's all action, he won't back down and if you don't fancy getting into a fight he will drag you into one. He always conducts himself with dignity and wears his heart on his sleeve during his interviews and fights. I remember back to the Mitchell fight when I was sat in a bar watching it with some cockney mates from University who were sure Mitchell was going win. Naturally I shouting my support for Katsidis and his interview with Sky after the fight was all class.

Serio Martinez - Got to admire a man that has come basically nowhere in the space of 7 or so fights. He's on a marvellous run, doing all this despite starting the sweet science at such a late stage and being quite old for a boxer himself. I personally have him at number 4 on my pound for pound list and I think he will be staying with the rest of the elite for quite some time. The guy is boxing when he could be modelling underwear for christs sake!

Carl Froch - Similar situation to Martinez, started quite late, not to young himself and one of the best in his division. The difference with Froch is, he will stand toe to toe with you and fight. The guy isn't some sort of insane athlete or technician but he is underrated in both areas, possessing a genuine wealth of both. The thing that sets him apart of course is his willingness to fight the best out there and the heart he shows in the ring going to war with anyone, whether it be Taylor, Pascal, Kessler or Abraham. Very good fighter with a great resume.

Kermit Cintron - Yeah, what you going to do about it!? The guy clearly has issues with his mental state and heart for the fight but you can't deny the guy has a solid skill set and the ability to punch a hole in anybody below 168. I'm firmly setting my bets on Kermit Cintron becoming the elite fighter I said he would be when I first watched him way back when, he'll find himself on top of the 154 pile guarantee and will beat Martinez next time out.
