I heard Andrade is going to step in for Diaconu. I like the fight. A guy that will try to stay right in Chad's face all night long would be good for him.

Funny how Diaconu backed out of fighting Dawson twice and people end up criticizing Chad instead. Hope Andrade can get a good camp in on short notice, it could be a poor man's recreation of Dawson-Johnson I which was a good action fight.

I like Dawson and think he's one of the most talented boxers out there but his infrequent fight schedule and his occasional uninterested style in the ring can make it hard to be a fan of his. If he would fight more often and show a bit more fire in the ring he could be one of the top 2-3 pfp fighters in the world. 175 is starting to get interesting again and I think Dawson can still be right in the middle of it.

He should have went after Hopkins. If hopkins wins the rematch dawson needs to go after him. Its a good fight for him style wise

He lost a fight, therefore he is a bum.

Its the way it works on the main forum

    Dawson didn't disappear.
He changed trainer (Now with Steward).
Will fight in Montreal in May and then fight the winner of Pascal-Hopkins.

    He's right there.

i had a heard awhile back(few years ago) that he had some shady characters who were backing him financially before he was making any real money.....i wonder if these guys have been jerking him over since he started making some actual money

Naaah! The guy is one of the most talented boxers in the world and there is no debate here. However he is not active enough and he seems to be lacking passion whenever he fights. When he's in the zone he's a very smooth and effective boxer but he is not agressive enough IMO which makes dull fights sometimes. He needs to be in against agressive fighters to make things interesting.

Dawson changed trainers many times and got together with Steward for 1 fight only I believe. Could be wrong though

I remember reading that same thing about a year ago. I can't say it'd surprise me, he'd be far from the first fighter to get screwed by that.

Yeah, you're right I just checked. I preferred him to face Andrade but thanks for the update. Dawson needs an aggressive fighter to get him to wake up from his constant daydreaming in the ring.

A true champ would of never given his title up as easy what he did to Pascal, that was shocking. What got me though, was how bitter and disgruntled he was after the fact, I mean, if your so pissed, why not actually channel that in the ring with you have the chance to do something about it?
