Paul McCloskey - Amir Khan fight

in boxing...anybody has a chance...

with amir's glass chin...sky is the limit....

 

Some of the moves in that video make me think that he was influenced by Naseem...hard to say. Either way, that reflexive swaying style would be a bad idea against Khan. Trying that sort of defence against someone with super quick hands is never a good idea. I remember how Malignaggi tried to fight with a low guard against Khan, and he was getting consistently pasted with the jab and straight right.

This McCloskey guy looks unorthodox and slippery, though. He's a Southpaw too, so that should make him even more irritating to deal with, at least in the early stages. He seems to have fairly fast hands, and that video showcased quite a few of his uppercuts...we all saw Khan take numerous uppercuts against Maidana.

If McCloskey has power and tightens his guard a lot, he could probably do well. I don't know enough about him to call the fight, though...common sense would point to Khan due to his recent victories, but I've seen Khan get KO'd by a complete unknown before, so who knows?
