You would THINK those posts came in that order. But no. SportsLeader got owned by Comprehension at a few posts of the 2nd round. The Magee who fought Froch was more foolish, and less of a tactician than the Magee who fought Bute... however, case in point, the Magee who fought Bute maybe didn't have the legs or stamina he had 5 years ago.
Hello Laffie, I'm from Quebec like yourself. I have often heard the use of the word mediocre in french in an incorrect way. For an unknown weird reason, we often use it with a very negative sense, like it would mean bad. Its an error because it actually means average. The root of the word says it: medio = middle = average.
Hi Balbik, welcome to the forum. I think that it's still negative. Like very ordinary. The ancient meaning of the word was plain average. Maybe some folks here could help us on that subject? English is not my first language.
Originally, the word had no negative connotations. Just like "vulgar" didn't either - it simply meant "common", "of the people".
Oh here, I found it. No need to panic, you just sounded negative about the '5 years. 5 years. 5 years!!' ...you know what I mean. You actually say what you posted, and you basically can't help but sound negative. So I pointed out the plus/minus'es for each Magee.
Man, I was tired. I haven't had the green stuff in weeks . I'm on here till' late ya know? Surely you can excuse me due to work related fatigue and emotional stress, you tyrant?
