Golata would be a crapshoot to get dq'd against anyone...Assuming no dq, Golota pummels Botha, who didn't have the power to keep the big guys off...
Botha never really had a prime, he was always the same tough guy, too slow, decent power & good chin fighter throughout. Golota had 2 very definitive primes. One when he fought Bowe & later against Byrd & Ruiz. He won both of those fights in my opinion. He looked legendary in all 4 of those fights as well as some other notables.
There was only one prime Golota. After the Grant fight he fought one handed basically, due to a fatal car crash that he survived. Golota would have probably had Botha down in round one had they fought. Just my opinion.
Actually i think Botha was better than most give him credit for.. But barring any freak out disqualifications Botha is out gunned here, Golota hits much hard hitter bigger, stronger and even faster than the smaller Botha... However Botha was cagey and he might make it to the late rounds and give GOlota hell at times which could possibly lead to a breakdown.... If Golota dont foul out.. I say he stops a game Botha in 8or 9
Was that a typo??? Botha wasnt really a good puncher, And Golota coul bang.. Its not even close Botha isnt in the same league when it comes to power... As far as chins ?? Well i think Golota had a good chin he was just mentally weak and took the easy way out... Botha was mentally tough and game though... Actually these 2 are pretty much complete opposites,as far as styles, strengths and weakneses....
wow some people here are delusional :rofl what actually Botha achieve to make you think he would be threat to Golota so he would need to faul? to get disqalification? just becouse one are afraid of tiger doesnt mean anybody is afraid of cat :yep
Golota fauled Nicholson while leading safely on scorecards, and "had to" bite Pou'ha when he almost knocked him down. Pou'ha was less skilled than Botha and still landed, and Nicholson did nothing to justify head-butt. Golota is larger, stronger and more skilled... but the problem is that he is Golota. I can easily see it being similar to Golota-Grant, with Golota controlling situation most of the time, and then doing something strange when things went wrong.
Why cant some people appreciate the efforts that former contenders like Botha and Golota put in. Yes they wont be remembered as much as some of the big names but 1. they CAN give us some good fights 2 There would not be A level fighters if these fellows were not sparring them and helping make some of these biggest fights in the last decade. For me Golota and Botha are very entertaining fighters and should be shown some respect. Not insulted for what they could not achieve.
