RJJ vs Lebedev set for May 22nd in Moscow

Shocked thought Roy would only take over the hill American TV fighters like Lacy and Tito and Sheika

but then he faces guys like Green and Lebdeev unknown to the US but are tough fighters and not shot at all

Seems like a bad match up to me but I'll never doubt Roy even if Lebdeev is pretty good

 

Maybe Roy needs to be challenged.

 

I dont understand why he would take such a high risk low reward fight and then agree to fight him overseas. Thats just not a good business move. I understand he wants a cruiser title, but hes taking the toughest road. That said, Lebedev has a lot of kos but hasnt fought anyone of note other than Huck. Hes a small cruiserweight so that is probably why Roy wants him and he is coming off his first loss. I dont see Roy winning, but I dont see him getting brutally KOd either. The problem for him is he cant deal with an aggressive type fighter that knows how to cut the ring off cause he cant stay off the ropes anymore. If Lebedev follows Roy around the ring, then Roy will likely go the distance. Dont think he will win, but his experience should get him through the fight. Plus he will probably weigh 190 for this one which will only help him.

 

Surely this will be the end of an era for Roy after Lebedev knocks him out? It's so very sad to see an ex great losing to fighters he'd of knocked out cold in his hayday.

Please make this the last Roy.

This fight is certainly not for money. The guaranteed purse is only $500,000. So Jones's only motive is to get back to the top.

all due respect to ledbedev for being a pro fighter, but he's terrible. jones is so gone, ledbedev should win but that doesn't mean that he's a good fighter. the cruiser division is pathetic.
