athink the worst thing that would come out of it is roy jones would fight again if he wins , so sad to see such an amazing boxer do this because he does not want to let go

I was just wondering this too... but I suppose it would mean a brutal beating when he attempts to face someone even better

Roy will not retire till he losses by KO again. Sad but a reality.

If Roy wins (which i don't believe he will) he has earned another high profile fight.
The winner of Pascal -Hopkins 2 seems logical.
It means a rubbermatch with Bernard or a fight between a young champ and an old legend

    "Earned"?

Roy is 6-6 since he was heavyweight champion 8 years ago. He has lost his last two against a 46-years-old Bernard Hopkins and an irrelevant Danny Green.
How is a victory against Lebedev entitling him to anything?

And there don't seem to be exciting options anyway. The best he can hope for is that Pascal beats Hopkins and then maybe gives him a fight. After the stinker last time, I don't know if there are a lot of people who'd want to see Hopkins-Jones III.
Pascal is basically a bad copy of Jones. And Jones has been a bad copy of himself for a long time now. Maybe this is his last chance of exiting semi-gracefully. Although Pascal is a bad copy that is 13 years younger.

Man, Jones could have been the Boxer of our time, had he only retired on March, 2nd 2003.
