    Obviously Lebedev is going to shatter that GLASS

    but will Jones carry on fighting and end up suffering an even less dignified fate?

    I've not yet seen Lebedev fight, but I've seen his boxrec page, and it sure seems like it'll be a sad ending for Roy. I'm going to have to check out some Lebedev fights before I throw Roy's chances out the window, but I think the premise of the thread is warranted. Roy is traveling a dangerous, sad, and maybe even a pathetic road.

    seriously, he cant.


    Lebedev is hard as hell, a southpaw, hits hard and never stops coming.

    Hes too big and strong. he got totally robbed in Germany v Huck imo.


    I thought Roy would have earned well over $100 million in his career?

    i remember the years when RJJ will refuse to go to germany or england for a fight...now he has gone as far as australia(to get his ass beat)and now russia(and hope this is the end) ...pity.

    I find it hard to believe that Jones has money issues.

    He must have made huge money from his career,between the fights and endorsements.
    Hes got a nice little color commentating gig.
    Hes been in a couple of movies, not proper acting roles,but im sure they pay.
    Heck,even his rap career wasnt a complete bust.

    He doesnt seem like the crazy partying type.

    Dont know how he could be broke.

    I hope he retires after this fight and doesnt get hurt.

    While Jones should probably retire, I haven't seen anything in Lebedev that I didn't see in Jeff Lacy or some of the guys Jones has beat recently. He lost his last two fights, one loss by knock out, but the knock out loss in my opinion was a quick stoppage rather than a complete knock out, and the loss to Hopkins was over 12 rounds.

    If Jones can survive for 12 rounds he actually might have enough to beat Lebedev.
