I agree with most posters here, Duran wins. It would be a very entertaining fight, just not as competitive as Pac fans would like it to be. Instead of Pac doing the hunting down and hurting, he'd be on the receiving end of the exchanges, and as a bonus, because Pac is such a warrior, Duran wouldn't have to go looking for him.

Fireworks while it lasted, but mid to late round TKO for Hands of Stone.

Duran KO's him at the weigh in with his scowl, sending him into a coma. Therefore Pac was never destined to fight him, essentially ducking him. :deal

Duran was still very fast when he beat Leonard and Palomino.. I really dont think Pac speed would be a major issue, in fact id say Duran from Montreal was on par with Pac in the speed department, just pac throws from crazy angles and thats why people dont see his shots coming.. But Duran had an iron chin(save Hearns fight)... Palomino even said that he was dominated by Durna cause of his speed, and he was fast enough to win exchanges with Leonard who even had faster hands than Pac... Duran didnt start slowing down until after No Mas and moving up to JM an d Middle.

I feel Pacquiao beats him by UD.

Both fighters would be banged up pretty good when that fight is over.

Wrong. Pac has better handpseed, but I agree with your larger point that Duran defeats Pac.

Doo-ran. Manny doesn't get totally embarrassed by any stretch, but this is the fight where his relative lack of a polished inside game becomes a big, big problem. He's toast inside of 9.

Great fight in which Pac would attempt to go to war but get beat at his own game. He gets ground down and stopped late.

Pac usually does a bit better in the polls right after a win, its been a while though.

I actually think with Roach in his corner he's smart enough NOT to go to war... and then still gets ground down and stopped. But sh*t, it's a real short list of people who should be favored against Duran from '35 to '47, so it's not disrespecting Manny at all here to say he loses.

Duran had an iron chin to begin with, so you can throw a pacman ko out the door. Montreal Duran wont give Manny much time to setup his shots and Duran wont wait on Pacman or make the simple mistakes hatton did. Duran could jab as well. Manny slight speed adv, but Roberto ties him up and forces Manny to infight. Duran has fast feet so he wont walk Manny down he'll cut off the ring like a lion on a wounded baby dear. Pacmans power not a huge factor like it was when he figts smaller men. Duran got up from Tommys power before he succumbed to the second. Pacman got hurt by Margarito he would get flattened by an ATG like Roberto.

    Duran by late round stoppage.
I supose this takes place after Duran losses to Leonard or after he loses to Benitez with Pacquiao making Duran come down from light middleweight. I'm just trying to make this realistic as posssible. so don't get mad.
Duran is the better boxer than Pacquiao. Although Pacquiao has a better offense.
Duran's biggest disadvantage in this fight is his track record in big fights.
I all ready mentioned his losses to Leonard and Benitez. He also has losses to Hearns and Hagler. He dose have a win over Leonard and Barkley (if you want to call that a big fight.)
I think Duran's defense is slightly overrated. However it is better than Pacquiao's. Who looks like he's been in fights that he wins 12-0.
Duran has too much for Pacquiao and wears him down for a late round stoppage.
