you ever had the rubber prongs shaped like a V crammed up there to straighten it?

Nope. Kept getting it broke, finally got it straightened out by a plastic surgeon who said don't ever get it broken again or I'm in big trouble. So I went and got it broken one more time and then got out the ring for good

Harsh way to end it. All i can suggest is to learn not to get hit lol. I have a reasonably big nose but should be too much of a problem, and the side of my head is well protected due to my massive ****ing ears lol

I have been boxing for five years, but only have ten amatuer fights, but have decent experience. I have a big nose myself. First, for the first year of boxing I think I had a bloody nose almost every sparring session. You will eventually learn through experience that the best way to defend from getting your nose hit is to keep your chin down, this will also help in keeping from getting dazed from a chin shot. A good example to learn from is Hopkins, he keeps his chin down very well. By keeping your chin down the punches will hit your forehead which is a lot harder than you nose and also the punches will slide down your nose instead of landing square.

Blocking punches with your nose is not a good idea. Men who do it usually have short careers in boxing. I assume they weren't too big on defense at your gym.

Thanks bud. I'll try and remember that. As to my short career, I fought from the age of 8 to 23 in England, Canada and the US, and I've coached on and off for 20 years. I teach defense as well as anyone. I learnt the hard way
