Judah at this point would stop JMM. His age has simply caught up with him. Only reason this has not shown is because he hasn't been in with a high calibre opponent recently. No I don't particularly rate katsidis as a spectCular fighter.
If you watch highlights of Marquez-Diaz 1 and Marquez-Katsidis, you'll see an adaptation in his style. He knows his reflexes and legs aren't as good, so he relies on head movement now a lot more than he used to in order to set up counters. Before it was parry with the left, shuffle backward or to the right, slip a punch, come back with a combination, step out, reset. Now it's come forward with a 1-2-uppercut, bob and weave going backward, and counter with a combination, reset with a jab. The control of distance has varied and I think he's changing his style to better deal with the age under pressure from a fighter like Katsidis. That's probably the best we've ever seen Katsidis. Against an athletic counter-puncher like Judah, I think he will find some problems early, MAYBE a KD, but he's going to tough it out and attack Judah's body. Judah has good ring generalship but he's not comfortable in the pocket. Marquez will time his rhythm and work combinations inside. If he doesn't stop him, decision. As soon as JMM starts landing those straight rights down the pipe of Judah's Southpaw stance, he'll get timid. Marquez is too good a boxer for an underachiever like Judah. I'd rather Judah showcase his skills against someone who matches up better; I could see this being a feint-fest early.
I have to disagree everybfoght is different but the performance between Diaz 1 & 2 are night and day, not just because of the stoppage either. JMM. Has not got long at the top left, judah will time him and take him out via ref stoppage. JMM SEEMS slightly more gun shy than before he is finding it hard to pull the trigger, and Judah is fast enough to use his speed against him as JMM timing and trigger capability is diminishing and fast. This is his last decent year.
exactly! how dare these mother****ers disregard Marquez because hes old and got schooled by mayweather. And yes, i saw zabs last fight.
I think Judah wins some big rounds early scoring a kd or 2. but Marquez digs deep comes from behind to score a late stoppage or razor close decision. Marquez wins more rounds but Judahs kds make it close.. If Marquez ages just alittle bit though Judah takes this.
marquez slim ud. judah may have grown, but marquez will push him back into his old habit of fading w crisp counterpunching. could be wrong, but who cares? this would be an amazing fite!!
Judah takes an early lead might even score a knock down or two. Marquez picks up the pace with his counter punching and stops Judah in the 10th.
I don't like Marquez much at 140, but I think he'll either guts out a close decision or earn a late stoppage. I can definitely see Judah starting well, but Marquez will grind him down over the home stretch.
An in shape Judah could be more trouble for Marquez than most would give him credit for. However, I think that JMM's technical ability would carry him through for a UD. If we know anything about Judah. It's that he is consistently inconsistent, in just about every fight. He will fade, and he will wilt.
the fight should be at 140.... would be very intriguing to watch... i would pull for judah to win but i wouldn't be surprised if jmm tko'd him...
