Lara just had an off night and that happens to everybody. That was not a career defining fight by any means so its better that it happens to him now than later. Solis is a live underdog but I expect Gamboa to beat him up convincingly.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Gamboa and Rigondeaux are clearly the best from Cuba, ( with Yudel Jhonson in a close third place ). Odlanier is also one of Cuba's best and his injury is 100% legit and he will definitely be back and tear up the HV's.

Cuban Junior middleweight Yudel Jhonson is 3 times better than Lara. Lara's new coach Shield's is messing him up as he is trying to make Lara into a KO artist, ( he said it himself ), as these Cubans have fought their entire life one way and now these American coaches want them to change and that will only bring bad consequences.

If Lara doesn't go back to his Cuban style he will not go far and specially with Shields on his corner. Despaigne was never nowhere near the top of the Cuban defectors, he wasn't anything special in Cuba and over here the same shows.

Gamboa will dominate Solis from start to finish, Gamboa, Rigo and Jhonson are Cuba's best without a shadow of a doubt!

I also think Rigo and Jhonson are the best also, but age isnt on either guys side....Horrible stoppage last night but Jhonson fought well. He is very fluid.

Right on but I don't know why Jhonson has taken the back seat against Lara. Seems to me that maybe it's cause he is older and Lara is more marketable. Jhonson has incredible skills and is smooth as silk, really impressive boxer!

It's been a phenomenon recently with Cuban fighters, having off nights and depending on their reflexes from an overly defensive stance. I think it's a combination of being comfortable with having dominated less difficult opponents more easily, still working their way to the elite level in the pro-game where offense matters more, and perhaps the more consumer friendly lifestyle in Miami.

I have faith that just like Rigondaux has, Gamboa will step it up tonight after his B performance against Salido, and Lara has the potential to do the same. The people around them know their marketing is at stake, so these "off-nights" should be followed up with impressive performances. Gamboa has got a good opponent in front of him tonight but I think he will look impressive.

NO. Of all the CUBAN you see Gamboa is the pick of the bunch always was.Rigodeux is second but after the Cordoba fight we started to doubt now he is showing his ability and what the kid is about. But Gamboa is too fast and too strong for anyone.I picked a SD for Solis as a JOKE.

They are claiming that Gamboa would knock Pac out because Pac has no power, no speed and simply would have zero chance against Gamboa, so why not set up a fight with Pac now, so we can find out. This fight could be at any weight esp. since Pac is inferior.
