I agree, Tyson would have a great chance of beating either of those guys in his prime.
Tyson was pretty good for the Holyfield matches, but he just got worn out in the first match and frustrated in the 2nd but he looked decent there

It also has to be said that it was all of his own making though. Looking back it's amazing that Tyson fell for Kings bull**** and destroyed his own career by ignoring what got him to the top in the first place. He was a young man I know but Tyson is extremely intelligent if you take the time to listen to the man talk, I still scratch my head to this day when I think of the Givens/Cayton/Rooney/King **** that happened back then. A damn shame.

 

He underestimated Holy and looked absolutely awful against Lewis, even worse against Williams and was a statue/punching bag against McBride. The Williams fight was one of the saddest sights I've ever seen in boxing as Williams was average at best. He's still listed as one of VITLAYS best wins, purely because he beat the ghost of Mike Tyson

The last 'decent' version of Tyson I saw was against Golota and even then I think if the fight had gone a few more rounds Tyson could have been in trouble. The 'real' Tyson was gone as soon as he went to jail and never surfaced again.

ALL boxing fans appreciate what Tyson brought back to the sport back in the day whether they rooted for him or against him. He did what Ali did back in the 60's and I'm not joking on that, he revived a dying division and brought mega interest back after a few years of stagnation.

We need another one like him right now after the few years of the Klits boring the **** out of everyone.

 

If Tyson was around today he'd be pulling in 3mil+ PPV's earning $50 million + per fight no problem.

I appreciate the Klitschkos skill but you're right, the division needs someone like Tyson.

 

Even I as a hater appreciate the Klitschkos skill....but it's rarely tested and when it is, cracks appear. Prime Tyson could deal with anything either of those guys brought to the ring, nothing to do with physical attributes as Tyson dealt with adversity in that dept every time he fought. He had speed, aggression, a great chin, awesome combinations and bombs in both hands. Bad news for not only the Klits but for pretty much HW that ever lived. I wouldn't give many HW's in history a chance of beating a prime Tyson.....Foreman, Ali, Lewis, Holy would be the only ones I'd favour over him, the Klits would be way, way down the list given their weaknesses.

 

If Tyson was around today he would be doing the same thing he was doing in 1990-2006...getting knocked out by journeyman, cruiser weights and bums . 16 years of getting his ass kicked and ducking real fighters.....wow what a champ. LMAO.
