You're also not supposed to duck under another fighters belt line... Which gatti kept on doing.... Imo the fight was clearly still in play... gatti turned his head during that moment.....

**** happens... Hitting after break, hitting after the bell....

It happens all the time man, fighters get jumpy when they are into it. You see an opening, you go for it....

    A dq???? Cmon man

Floyd, and not close. Now, if you asked who has the better WW resume...

Mayweather and for me it's closer than people think.

Mainly in my view due to the fact that Cotto fought a lot of good quality fighters before people even cared about or knew them well.

For example, if Cotto had beaten Torres after his win over Holt, Quintana after his win over Williams, or Mosley after his win over Margarito, those wins would probably have been of much larger significance.

Instead a lot of his wins go slightly under the radar.

If it weren't for that BIG 0 at the end of Floyd's record, we would have already had a Pac vs Floyd fight.

This hold/hit/hit during a break warranted a DQ "IMO", and had he been DQd he would have avenged the loss with an even better KO win vs Gatti, and we would have had the PAC/Floyd fight we've all been pissin and moanin for for almost 2 years.

I had Castillo winning a close one, but I'm going by official verdicts, so long as they're not unquestionably bad decisions.

You gotta love how "Lyin'" Bryan says FMJ isn't a real champion at 140, but didn't say the same with Pac at 154.

I just love this window into the mind of these Boxing idiots. Funny how the May-haters forget where they stood so recently ago.

    Mayweather by quite some distance.

Cotto's resume has a close win over Mosley, a close win over Clottey who hasn't done anything of note and Judah.

Mayweather practically cleared out the 130 division including schooling the divisions #1 and the P4P#5 in Corrales.

He then moved up and beat the best lightweight of the last decade and the divisions#1 twice before moving up again and taking out Gatti since Cotto and Hatton wouldn't get in the ring with him.

Hatton eventually got the courage together and fought him at welterweight where he got stopped, he then went on to beat the divisions#3 and P4P#3 in Shane Mosley.

You can throw in him moving up to light middleweight to beat the divisions#1.

    Seriously it's not even close.

Floyd would have the better resume since he started at lighter weights and have won belts in those divisions. But at WW is were Floyd has been question because of his opponents he has not face with exception of Zab and Mosley. Cotto def. has the better names at WW and its really were it was important for Floyd to make a stamp in his HOF career to being recognized as one of the greatest in any era. This was the division were Floyd had and still has the most threat but he has yet to take the risk like Cotto has several times... He has play it in the safe side...

Ok JMM was 2 weight classes above his fighting weight. Hatton moved up a weight class and wasn't anything like he used to be when he fought Mayweather. De La Hoya was old and was a part time fighter. These are all overrated wins for Mayweather.

Cotto has fought P4P king Pacquaio, Margarito when he was top of the welterweight division, Shane Mosley who was still pretty tough (he was way too old when he fought May), and a tough Josh Clottey. Cotto's resume is better.

So mosley was still pretty tough when he fought cotto.... but 2 1/2 years later he is suddenly too old???

LOL josh clottey... who has josh clottey beat?

Funny thing is cotto BARLEY beat both of these guys..... They were very close fights and many people were screaming robbery after them.....

Mayweather has whipped everyones ass he has ever faced....
