Also rocked badly by Danny Ray Perez (who was magically brought from WBC #26 to WBC #10 by a certain DK after Steve Little pulled out late) with it too, if I recall.... I also think Benn struggled abit with the southpaw stance of Nardiello...

Benn by way of big ko by fourth round- pity this fight never can take place . I'd love to see bitchslapper calzaghe properly tested seeing as he is the most over protected and over rated boxer of the last 20 years

    This is tough.

Cal actually had pretty good power early on before he started having hand problems, and he KO'd Chris Byrd in the AM's. Benn is one of my all time favorite fighters but if they fought ten times I'd take Joe to win 6.

Would have been a great fight.

I thought he clearly lost against Reid and Hopkins, and Hopkins himself thought he lost against Mr Eubank when studying that fight (I had Eubank winning after 8 rounds with no sound).

Joe hardly ever fought in his 'prime' (whenever that was?), like once or twice a year.
Benn fought every couple of months and brutal wars with the likes of Watson, Collins, Barkley, Eubank x 2, McClellan, DeWitt. Fighters in their peaks......

For some reason, monstrous right hands could never put Benn away!

I really like both fighters but I have to go with Calzaghe mainly on the fact that yes Benn was a big puncher but he could also be hurt at times and although joe has been dropped a couple of times 2 of those were when he was 36-37 years old, I cant really remember a time when Joe looked seriously hurt he always just got back up and got stuck in.
