:good Thanks I knew there was word of him going back to 147 but I sincerely doubt Pac or Floyd ever take him up on it. 154 is his best bet to shine, imo, but a big win or two and he'll get his shot at Sergio for the trilogy.

Pirog needs to fight more frequently because he's still developing. The clock's ticking on him timewise but he's still only got 18 fights..either Lee or Williams next would be a good test for him.

After his fight this summer, if Lee tells HBO he's ready... we could see Pirog-Lee in fall/winter on WCB, in which case HBO is hoping to broadcast the rise of a champ a lot of people can relate to / cheer for. Revenge on Pirog is what they'd want... otherwise Pirog is staying home defending against C/B lvl opponents.

No way Williams fights him this early after the knockout vs. Martinez. He will do a tune up and then a big major money fight again.

Pirog will invarible get screwed by the judges if his fight(s) in the U.S. go to the scorecards. Like someone said above, HBO wants revenge on him and will do anything and everything in their power to relieve him of that belt.

What is the whole HBO vs Pirog thing about? I could see how GB may be pissed with him but why would HBO be mad with Pirog?

I guess I'm not seeing the connection here.

hbo loves american hypejobs that they want to turn into the next ray leonard or tyson. But when that hypejob gets his glass destroyed by a 30 year old strange looking russian guy they get mad. They should have picked up on pirog yet because he isnt that easy to hype to make huge money they hate him, same with gbp.

Its true on what you say but what HBO doesn't get is that real boxing fans, even casual fans, don't care where they are from as long as they are good fighters. No other good example than Pac to show HBO that they don't have to be from the US/Mexico to promote to stardom, all its needed is to be good and kick ass and just let the fans do the rest! I guess HBO will never understand that or its hard to comprehend to them. Like you stated, they would rather hype american or mexicans for their own good.
