Ortiz might pull it off but I think he'll fall apart.

He's got a puncher's chance but i think berto's speed will be too much for him. I see berto winning this fight by either TKO or Ud.

He needs to get Berto tired early, if he can turn this to an 8 round fight and not have to go into the championship rounds, he has a shot. If it goes longer he won't be able to last.

He can't make Jr WW anymore so he is a legit WW. He has some talent but has been gun shy after Maidana rocked his world. The question is will he feel stronger without having to cut the weight giving him confidence back. Or will he get gun shy again after he taste some speed and power from Berto in an exchange.

If he doesn't break down mentally I make Victor a heavy favorite. He does everything better than Berto, but his heart doesn't seem to be in the game.

Depends on Ortiz' mind, he can beat Berto, but he will have to go all out, if he lands a good punch he can win, but.............does he really want it? Collazo sure beat Berto, but was cheated by Berto's personal judges..........

Ortiz hits much harder than Berto when it comes to one shot stopping power, although Berto probably puts more into each individual punch, and Ortiz is the better boxer. Berto is quicker and is capable of putting on a ton of pressure, which may be enough to throw off Ortiz and make him want to quit. If Ortiz keeps his cool and doesn't get caught with something stupid, he's more than capable of either landing something sensational on Berto or taking him into the late rounds and just beating him up when Berto inevitably slows down. Berto often leaves himself wide open to counters, he gets recklessly aggressive from time to time.

It's actually an interesting matchup. I think Ortiz is overall the more polished boxer. Berto is still a headhunter and is still getting by because of his speed and athleticism. But, Ortiz does get hit, and his heart has already been tested. Berto showed me a lot in the last two rounds against Collazo, so I would favor Berto simply because of that fact. I believe Berto has more intestinal fortitude to win a fight than Ortiz does.

This is one of Berto's first true tests. Collazo and Urango were decent wins but Ortiz is a step up from them. Ortiz has been in with real quality opposition a few times. I give him the edge. KO 8 :think
