Any boxer that's coming off a loss is all of a sudden a tomato can in the eyes of the general ******s. It's like the last performance represents the fighter's career. That's why you would seriously find insects judging Tyson by the Williams and McBride fights.

Hatton was a great fighter who went a decent run after dropping Warren. People question his resume but if either Bradley or Khan end up with his record and titles when they retire they will be very happy.

I have no disrespect toward "Hitman" Hatton, a good fighter and fun to watch.
There's no shame in losing to Pacquiao and Mayweather, especially against Floyd at 147, a division Ricky previously looked shitty in.

Exactly. Calzaghe actually became one of my favorites. Always kept raising his level when his opponents did.

The young Hatton was actually quite devasting, the wresting style eveloved as his opposition level increased.

His American campaign was hardly impressive or easy to watch.

And another thing....he definatly ducked Junior Witter like the plague and he loses enormous respect for that

Hatton was actually pretty talented , but didnt live the life. To have a walk around weight of 14 stone is just plain wrong for a world class athlete.

Hatton was in his prime at 26 and was always going to get stopped as his body didnt hold up.

I think his resume is very strong actually , and he was definately the best at 140 for about 2 years.

He lost to Floyd cause Floyd was better talent wise, and he lost to Pac cause of Mayweather Sr? Gtfo.

I've never called Hatton a bum but as far as I'm concerned he would never have beaten Tszyu on neutral ground, and Pacquiao dispatched him quicker than David Diaz, and Mayweather who struggles to get knockouts against decent opposition knocked Hatton out

erm he was 20 years old, who did you want him to fight at that stage? and the way he finished off peacock (undefeated at the time) didnt look sloppy or ugly to me, looked pretty ****ing good actually. and you can clearly see him blocking, slipping, changing angles and countering, thats not hit and hope.

Because his career was quite bummish?

Hatton was a great physical talent. Unfortunately, Hatton relied almost exclusively on that physical talent. When he crossed the line in age where he not only had to train, but live the life of an athlete? He faltered. Then when met adversity he started lashing out and destroyed his camp like many "champs" do.

Hatton will always be remembered as a great talent that never realized his true potential. I still like Ricky.
