Who would pay to see that crap. Mayorga has been a side show since old ass DLH dispatched him. What would the odds be on that about 90 to one? Pretty much the same odds as Martinez vs a cardboard cut out.

a Mayorga-Canelo or Mayorga-JCC Jr would be a better match than the 100% guaranteed beating Mayorga would get from Martinez.

    That's just your opinion.

Martinez deserves to get a breather after 4 consecutive high profile fights. And besides . . .Manfredo is not an easy opponent for Martinez. He is capable of creating an upset.

I like Mayorga and think he can still make for some very entertaining and competitive fights if matched correctly like Alvarez, Margarito, Chavez Jr, Mosley rematch, etc. A bout with Martinez is not one of those matches. It would be one-sided and embarrassing.

I agree Martinez deff deserves a breather, but that is wishful thinking at best, thinking Manfredo could pull off an upset.

Manfredo was always a solid C, MAYBE C+ fighter at his best, but couldn't even stay on his feet against nothing left Lacy to score a decision, and that was years ago. So to me anyway, if Manfredo did get a win, it would one of the biggest upsets of the past decade in my book.

I want martinez vs sturm and then martinez vs chavez jr/cotto/floyd/pirog in december.
And the year after that a catchweight fight vs the super six winner.

Mayorga would get the mother of all beat downs against Martinez.

    It would be BRUTAL!

Why don't people don't understand that Sergio won't get the money he is looking for by fighting Pirog? Don't get me wrong, I would like to see the fight too but Pirog needs ALOT more exposure and some good wins to bring in some cash. The other you mentioned will give Martinez a good amount of cash and ofcourse Floyd the most cash ever! Yes, I said Chavez Jr. will give him cash if he wins his next fight and fight on Mexico where Chavez Jr is very marketable.

Manfredo has no chance at all against Martinez.

Mayorga would get his ass kicked every second of the fight until Martinez ends his career in the 3rd round....that's why not.
