Arum says that the problem is that no network is willing to pay for the fight. He says 3 million dollars would make the fight but no network is willing to pay that money. If he has to do it by himself he has to do it on PPV and they are not PPV stars yet. He also said that they are looking into an August fight for Gamboa in Atlantic city.

What I keep telling everyone, He's 30 in December!

    Late starter obviously.

As for the thread, I find it hard to believe that not a single network is willing to pay for Gamboa vs Juanma. More Arum bull****?

I know right? 3 million dollars doesnt sound unreasonable but then again I dont know how much networks usually pay for fights of that caliber.

Yes, it has to be more Arum bull****! What he really meant to say is that they are not PPV stars yet so HE is not willing to put them on a network together just yet. What would happened if Gamboa or JML lose a fight? What if Gamboa or JML never reach to be a PPV star like Pac/Mayweather (which is what Arum actually is waiting for)?

Yes it has to be more Arum BS. So if Gamboa will be back in the ring in August then that means no JML-Gamboa until 2012. I have a feeling this fight will be at 130.

I think it's a bull**** excuse not to match them. The networks won't pay for Gamboa/Juanma but they will pay for Gamboa/Solis???

Also, he could easily make it a double header or throw them on the undercard of another fight. If the timing was right Pac/Mosley, Gamboa/Juanma would have been awesome.

He just means they ain't ready for PPV....

Which is why he keeps matching them up with Mexicans, so they get more exposure to the Mexican population so they can become stars.

He is not gonna put these guys on BAD or Championship boxing on HBO... he wants a big PPV to make him $$$

Welcome to boxing you obviously dont know Arum. Im sure if it was only 3 Mil he was asking for it would have been scheduled already. Arum is greedy as hell and he wants to make as much money from these two before he puts it on a PPV where he keeps all the profits and get ready for the awesome undercard he is likely to put up.

Arum was quoted saying "**** what the fans want" he doesn't care what the people want to see he wants to keep both those 0's intact so he can continue milking both of them

Personally I think they should hype them both up more, only problem is you take the risk of one of them losing to a taxi driver.
