If you are paying any attention, Arum has stated that it's up to Donaire if he want to continue the legal battle to free himself. If Donaire and Arum agree to terms, Donaire can drop the legal proceedings and fight. Got it? Good.:good
Donaire did help his negotiating position in his last fight, but enough to make demands? Arum was probably planning on doing his 'usual'. Get him on the cusp right before his contract ran out so he would have leverage on an extension. It would seem Donaire miscalculated the end of the contract. Well, not so much that, he though he had Arum on breach. I just want to see the kid back in the ring.
Whether Arum lived up to his end of the contract is what is to be determined next in the legal proceedings. He may want to fight if he truly believes Arum did not, but it will drag on for awhile. It is probably best for donaire to talk to Arum and see what can be worked out.
Yeah, I don't know if Arum is right, but my guess based on what I've read is that he is. He has been doing contracts for a very long time. I'm not sure about mediators, but a judge won't offer an injunction unless he feels the person filing it has merit to their position. By that I simply mean it isn't a slam dunk for Donaire's position. ****, you get excited about a fight/fighter and this **** happens way to often it seems. In that respect you do have to say Arum was doing something right. 100%? Probably not... but still... The excitement was building for Donaire.
And your hero, the guys who said he'd fight Margarito. The one who claims he NEVER hit women. You know, the one you defend like he's yo daddy?
Arum said that? And of course you BELIEVE him now? ****in fickle mother ****er. Right now, it's NOT Arum's call. You don't think GBP will put up a fight?
