i previously only saw highlights of it and just watched the full fight and damn was it a good fight, acosta is a beast! he beat the breaks off of antillon!

rios was just a stylistic nightmare for him because of his size, stamina and strength but i think acosta could beat most other lightweights, i dont think he can beat marquez but that would be an awesome fight, too bad acosta just lost and isn't a big enough name.

I've seen it, its a good fight.

I dont remember the last time i saw a fighter so open to uppercuts as Antillon is, sometimes Acosta would throw an uppercut from so far of and he would still get hit by it, the same happened against Soto.

But i agree Acosta is a handful for any lightweight out there just hope this recent loss to Rios doesnt send him on a downward spiral.

I liked it, one of the better fights I've seen in recent years. Antillon got a rough beating. Read on here a while back that going into the fight Antillon was considered to be the next big lightweight thing and Acosta was pretty much an after thought.

You watch Moses-Acosta yet? That is another great Acosta fight against an undefeated fighter who was linked to Khan about 3 years ago.

    couldn't find the moses fight

i noticed in the rios fight acosta couldn't get anything through the middle because rios was blocking them so he started using some crazy angles!

he was landing on rios from some pacquiao-esque angle, over, under, hooks etc

His performance against Moses is even more impressive IMO. I dont think Rios was a stylistic nightmare for Aguacerito, if anything it was the opposite. The thing was that Miguel's stamina has never been great, added to the fact he never recovered from when he was first hurt.

I'm glad we can all agree that Acosta is a fan favorite, or will grow into one even more. The guy brings it in every fight, he's fun to watch, and he's very talented. Also as seen in the Rios fight, he doesn't go down easy. He may not reach the very elite level, but Acosta is definitely someone to watch in the future. I too hope he can attract a few bigger names, Marquez as Relentless said would be an outstanding fight.

I saw it when it happened...It was on a latin fury card and it was awesome...both guys looked really good, but Acosta looked like a champion. I actually favored acosta to beat Rios because of this performance.
