Victor Ortiz is the best opponent outside of Collazo that Berto has faced!

I cant stand Berto, always fighting setups and never rematching Collazo, Ortiz is 5'9" can box has pop and as a young guy should be stronger and hit harder at 147....I really believe he can take it to Berto who has no stamina and is full of flaws. Im not hyping Ortiz for the sake of Berto, this isnt a Joe Calzaghe type thread.

I think Ortiz is better than Collazo. Collazo is solid veteran but Ortiz besides the Maidana loss was a star in the making, hes faster, stronger and can box just as well as Collazo.

Ortiz won't see round 9. You can take this all the way to the bank :deal Referee will stop this fight around 1:24 in the 8th :good

Maidana is not "slow as ****". It's a competitive matchup because both guys are criticized for their lack of fulfilling their potential in the sport against risky challenges. Both have pretty good skills and elite physical talent, who have yet to impress against adversity. Ortiz is big enough to do fine at welterweight and has enough speed and power to trouble a largely untested Berto.

Two of boxing's biggest talents hungry with something to prove facing off. Hardly Pacquiao-Mosley; why hate?

I agree with the thread starter. I also believe Berto wins this one.

oMg, Ill bet, i know whos going to win, and thats Andre berto, VIctor Ortiz never faced a guy with speed and power like berto, Ortiz hasnt fought anybody, Neither has berto, but i respect bertos opponents a little bit more, Especially collazo, Victor ortiz has no heart, he showed it when he just quit against maidana. Ortiz is going to lose this fight

You guys are crazy underrating Ortiz like this. I know styles makes fights but Madaina would give Berto fits with his shaky chin.

Berto's superior hand-speed will be far too much for Ortiz, I don't know where Berto can go from here though, maybe a Mike Jones fight but it would be nice to see him in with Cotto or Pac.

Berto has Flaws but he would take Madaina to school and make it look easy, although it would be boring.

I can see this coming out as a controversial fight . . . so better if Ortiz can KO Berto.

Ortiz has no heart, once he gets tagged he's gonna have visions of Maidana all over again. Berto's gonna destroy, I don't even think this will be close.

Ortiz has the tools and power to beat Berto, Collazo did, but the judges and referee will be for Berto like they were in the Collazo fight. Does Ortiz have the mental toughness to stay in there and win?

I see Ortiz redeeming himself and winning by KO.
