the WBB are opportunists claiming they are trying to bring back the fans' trust and respect lost in the alphabelt belts with the recent shenanigans by the WBA and WBC. Don't know that creating another fake belt is the right way to go about it. probably the best looking belt i've seen tho

This is what we know so far:

“The WBB was created in San Juan, Puerto Rico and its purpose is to rebuild confidence of the fans and the media. We will promote the creation of world titles to be awarded only to boxers who actually earn them through their performance,” said chief operating officer Santiago Albanese.

The first fight to be sanctioned was Cotto-Mayorga held on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where Cotto was presented with the super middleweight belt. Albanese said that beginning in April, the WBB will be issuing monthly ratings. The group will soon provide additional details of its creation and its future plans.

So pretty much the same bull**** has always. Now (sad to admit) but it seems Puerto Rico wants in...for a small fee of course.

I was wondering what that white belt was.

Boxing needs one organization to control the whole sport.
