I quite like Judah and think he will make a good live opponent.

Your last point means less than nothing.

very true, judah still has some shots with real pop in them and still has some decent speed, if marquez doesnt take the fight to him and throw a lot of punches i think this is a dangerous fight for him

I think Marquez tested Mayweather more than a lot of people realise.

Even though he was about a stone lighter, four years older and much more shopworn..... he tagged Floyd repeatedly with right hands.... it was only because Mayweather was very aware and able to lean back at the last moment and take the punches after the meaty end had gone.....

Judah had a few good rounds and was prime for a TKO - if it wasn't for the punch in the nads Mayweather would have got him out of there.

Beeston I was of the impression that Marquez looking at the stats at the end landed incredibly few punches?:huh

He landed some well timed shots, he's the only fighter I've seen that started timing Floyd on occasion.

The trouble is, when you're a small lightweight fighting a welterweight...... your shots aren't likely to have much of an effect.

As he said, he deals with southpaws far better than Floyd appears to.

I think Marquez is just as intelligent a fighter as Floyd anyway..... you're splitting hairs when comparing the two (and Hopkins) in that regard.

But as I've said Marquez deals with southpaws far easier.... maybe it's because he's fought/sparred more of them, but the evidence is there. Marquez schooled Pacquiao at times in both fights, Mayweather struggled with Zab until a combination of the adjustment and Zab's usual fade kicked in.

Get this tune up out of the way and get Pacquiao in the ring again :deal

Would mean so much more if Pac came back to 140. Roach and Pac know that's his optimum weight. JMM is the no.1 at 135. Pac The Ring champ at 140.

It makes sense. Unfortunately, it will be at a 144.8lb catchweight for the super dooper golden turd trinket or whatnot.

Pac starches JMM third time round IMO. But it's a fight we have to see:deal:deal:deal

If the Judah fight goes ahead it could end up using up more of JMMs diminishing ability. A tough fight and I just cant see Marquez beating mother time and being in the right condition to face Pac. On the other hand, if he wins immpresively I doubt Pac and Arum will touch him with a barge pole (for another couple of years at least)

Nah, I can't see how they'd duck a fighter they've already fought twice. Especially at a weight where he has already been shown not to be great.

    It's all about timing.

Roach will probably insist on a minimum weigh-in weight and in-ring weight for Marquez.

If he's under they'll probably force him to wear some of those wrist/ankle straps that you can get from Argos for about a tenner.

    ****s.
