Helenius said he felt good before the fight but list his confidence after the first round when he realized that Peter was better than the guys he fought before. It was visible, he was tense and nervous and didn“t do some things he normally does. I this fight was a huge learning experience for him and hope it gives him the confidence for this not happening anymore.

Very interesting. Never followed him before. Just went and watched a bunch of his fights on YouTube. Here are the notes I made on him while watching and doing some quick research:

    *
    *
    *

    - Power in both hands
    - Very good and precise counter puncher
    - 6' 6.5"
    - Not sure what his reach is
    - Could use slightly more bulk
    - Needs slightly better conditioning
    - Has hand issues?
    - 15-0 (10)
    - Hurts people to the body, as well
    - Aggressive when sees opening
    - Unsure how his chin is; stamina seems decent, not sure about for later rounds. Just not know

He looks promising. He certainly has some real talent and physical ability (including the large frame).

I really don't give a **** if a guy is Euro, but if this guy's the real deal and will add excitement by fighting all comers in this **** division, then he's cool with me.

Helenius' resume at heavyweight is a little better than Haye's but I rate Haye higher overall because of DH's accomplishments at cruiserweight.

Helenius is #9 in my heavy top 10 now. The 2nd best undefeated fighter.

When RH is ready he should clash with one of Universum's rated guys--Dimitrenko, Chagaev, Gomez, or Boystov.

Haye has too much in the locker for Roberto, don't want to knock him on his big night but he's still a ways to go.

Honestly, who would Helenius be in the 80's? He has no upperbody movement, is stiff as hell, and you know exactly what you're going to get every fight.

People discredit the 80's, but guys back then had height, reach, every punch in the book, AND movement.

    Tyson just decimated them.

He ain't no Tony Tucker, yet Euro's are creamin in their pants over this guy. If anything, it shows you how bad the heavyweight division is.

For the record, the Klitschko's smash this guy, and Haye boxes circles around him.

Hardly mate. Americans were creaming themselves of Gerry Cooney in the 80's. LOL

Mythical match who wins and why?

Helenius vs Cooper for the European title.

Not a big fan of Helenius, nothing against the guy, maybe he'll grown on me. I'm sure some Haye fans will flip their **** over this though

Honestly, how do you think this guy would fare against the Klitschko's?

Vitali is getting older, but I still think he has enough in the tank to a do a paint job on this guy. His only problem would be Helenius' range, and maybe his ability to take a punch.

Other than that, he's easy to read and relatively one dimensional.

Wlad would completely dominate this guy. He has way too much speed, and he's a smart fighter who thinks things through. Unless Helenius has a super jaw that we don't know about, Wlad should have no problems with him.

Haye has far too much speed, movement, lateral mobility, and he's also a thinking fighter. He would box circles around this guy.

And I understand that he doesn't have that many fights, but do you see any real upside to this guy?

I mean, it's great that he knocked out a Brewster who should have retired years ago and a Sam Peter who has got to be one of the dumbest fighters in the heavyweight division in a long time, but other than size, I don't see anything special.

People like Vytovsky can call me a racist, but it's a clear double standard when guys like him try to put down the 80's when guys of Helenius and better were a dime a dozen.

It's just that they ran into Tyson.

And everyone thinks I'm on here dissin the Klitschkos when I say that Tyson would beat them, but that's not because they're not great fighters, it's just that styles makes fights.

A different fighter than Tyson makes for a different story, and when it comes down to it, it's hypothetical and a matter of opinion.

But the fact is, I can put up video evidence of Tony Tucker for instance, and you see a guy with Helenius height, a longer reach, who has better movement, faster hands, and a wider variety of punches.

Yet you have Vystokvsy or whatever the **** his name is posting pictures of a black guy crying in a clearly racist remark.

And just so you know, I'm not even 100% sold on Haye yet. Wlad is going to be a hell of a matchup and I would not be surprised if he manages to take him out with a left hook early.
