Erik Morales: "Maidana does not even hit as hard as Pacquiao"

Well that rumor seems to be spreading around. What I don't get is why the rumor that Khan was knocked out by Pac in sparring not spreading? Maybe because Pac doesn't brag about it much.

 

Nice way to try to start a false counter rumour....

 

Sorry, but this isn't just some false counter rumor. A college friend of mine is the drinking buddy of Buboy (of team Pac, forgot how to spell his last name). He told me that the reason why Roach is grooming Amir Khan is because he is one of the few that was able to stagger (or maybe knock down) Pac in sparring. What he told me is Pac got serious and did knock out Khan. That is the reason why Khan seems to have headgear bigger than the normal standard. He is capable of outpunching Pac but can't endure solid shots to his chin. It is also the reason why Roach avoided a Madiana fight for Khan for a long while. He was trying to rebuild Khan's confidence against punchers after what happened with the sparring session with Pac. This is also the reason why Khan refused the offer to fight Pac but is amenable with a fight with Floyd (since floyd isn't a very powerful puncher).

Pacquiao did not spar Khan here during his recent training, that's for sure.

 

This was in 2009. When Khan was relatively new to the Wild Card Gym. That is why it took so long for Khan to fight Madiana. Maybe Morales got wind of it since he is basically saying that Maidana couldn't knock out Khan when he had the chance.

maidana isn't good? morales isn't shot?

 

Morales is always going to get attention when he speaks due to his great record.But he is now an old man clutching at straws.He is trying to draw people into thinking he is still a serious fighter.He stopped being that sometime ago,he will just be a workout for the younger and at this stage in their careers better Maidana.

 

I'm sorry if I startled anyone with the rumor I got. I am introverted you see. I have been getting a lot of information from my friend but I really don't like expressing it. The real reason why I signed up is to read the links other posters put in the forum. That is why I have a very low post count. The truth is I have been lurking around the site as a guest for at least 7 years now.

Morales always had a granite chin, if he eats solid blows from Maidana and schools him, I'd be massively impressed.

 

I think Morales will take alot less than he did vs pac, he will do well here win or lose
