looking for serious feedback from anyone who's had to cut 15-25lbs over 2-3 months whilst training hard (sparring etc.) for a fight. i'd like to know what diet you used and how you maintained energy levels to work out 5x a week and get the roadwork done. any feedback appreciated, especially some sort of diet plan.
I couldn't really help you out much because I stay close to my weight class during off-season, but I will tell you that drinking apple cider vinegar mixed with water will lose you some weight and give you that energy boost you need.
Whenever i cut weight i eat as clean as possible, no bread or other bad carbs and i do more interval training than usually (sprints etc). I eat breakfast usually oatmeal, eggs and fruit and a lunch usually a chicken breast and veggies. No dinner. Its hard at first, not being able to eat dinner after your workout, but it does get easier. Also no snacks just a breakfast and a lunch. I find eating like this gives me energy for my workouts and also causes a calorie deficit so that i burn fat.
i had to lose 5kg in a week and it was horrible!!! wwas eating nothing for bfast, a small potato with tuna no butter for lunch and a tin of tuna for dinner trained in a sweatsuit and only 500ml of water a day thought i was gonna die!!!
thanks all it is indeed tough especially the hunger pains right now im eating oats+banana breakfast salad+chicken lunch salad+chicken dinner
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Very, very stupid. I'd love to hear the reasoning behind doing something so ****ing dumb.
There is no set diet plan, you have to work out what your body needs and work from that. Some of the advice given by others is awful. Would be so much easier if you just said starve yourself. Boxers give by far the worst nutritional advice I've ever seen.
Cutting weight is a *****. I find that it's hard just to loose 5 pounds. I usually eat almost nothing but protein and if I do eat carbs I make sure that it's filled with fiber. Sweat suit probably won't work unless you do it right before you weigh in. And even then I still wouldn't recommend it . All that water that you're losing will eventually be gained back within a day if not shorter.
when i was boxing i all ways had trouble making weight but to get back down to my fighting weight i just eat alot of chicken veg and fish
I'll help you out if you ask questions. I don't know how much you weigh, your height, your bodyfat percentage, your age, how much you workout, WHEN you workout, bodytype (endomorph, ectomorph), and you come to a forum and ask for someone to spoon feed you everything. Take the time to give details and then you can get help. What's your diet like right now? How much time do you have?
i weight 185 lbs im 5"11 BFI around 20% age: 25 workout: 5 times p/w, 7am bodytype: no idea diet now: reasonable/1500-2000 cal
