I grew up watching my cousin love boxing which over the years has got me to love boxing as well, we're the same age. for as long as i can remember my cousin has known boxing pretty well, he's never really train legitamately in a gym but watched and immitated for countless hours from his childhood till evenknow and has sparred various times, but for fun as well as having heavy bags and speed bags in his porch, lol. this is a very odd case because for someone who's never really boxed his handspeed is crazy for his weight, his combos are short quick and accurate, uses balance, footwork, body turning on hooks, everything you need to know and do correctly to get started, but he looks like he's really ahead of that... problem is he's been struggling with obesity he is about 5'7 or 5'8 with 270lbs but can cut weight easily as well as gain it easily, he once cut down to 184lbs from 250lbs in 3 months dont know if its much or quick but yeah, and at that time he looked great was insanely quick for a 180 pounder as well, and i didn't want to see if he had power, lol.. but yeah i know he kinda old and has tons and tons of weight to shave off like 125 to actually compete in a level fair for him, but what do you guys think??? he wants to atleast go down to around 147 and train to atleast fight 1 or 2 amateur fights... just to not get any older and never really know if he had it in him to ever be as good. what do you guys think should i support him or tell him he's too old???, lol btw he's 20...
your not to old but get to a proper trainer ur technique will fall to pieces under pressure and fatigue
yea i would like to see him accomplish this, not only for his love for boxing but for his health as well
Why not? It is just 6 minutes and they will match him with someone with as little experience as he has. Worst case scenario you guys can throw in the towel.
