none of them could beat the Mexican American Chris Arreola “The Big Brown Hope” but from that list Magarito beats them all head to head.... Chavez is clearly best p4p....
Not as much love for JMM as I thought.... Anyways I went with Juan Manual but that's simply as a 2nd to me...JCC would always win this one by landslide
Well in that case Yaqui Lopez,Julio Gonzalez,Liberado Andrade,Saul Montana,Jose luis Lopez and maybe Lupe Aquino all beat Margo hth....... And probably a few others. If you wanna include Arreoloa(Mex/American) than also add Vargas,Delahoya,BJ Flores,Tony Ayala,Tony Perea,Eddie Lopez,Alex Garcia((the Hw),Mike Sedillo,Javier Mora and other journey man fringe contenders above SM that would beat Margarito. PS and DUran was half Mexican so throw him in there too.
:think:huh You mean little Rocky?? The lazy little guy who expects to come on late and knock every one out in the last 2 rounds?
The guy is second on the poll. What the hell were you expecting? Boxing fans are unbelievably fickle.
Actually, their punches were crisp and super precise and their footwork was exceptional. See, Mexicans adapt to these so called warrior style according to their physical limits. They are usually much smaller and slower than their counterparts, specifically being the african american slick style of boxer. In fact, Chavez, Morales, Barrera, Sal Sanchez and specially Finito Lopez were just as skilled, if not more skilled, than lets say RJJ and Pacquia. The difference was/is that the latter fighters were extraordinarily gifted physically. Freaks of nature. Hence the accusations of Pacquia being on steriods. For example, Gamboa. The dude throws wild looping shots and loses control easily. ****, most of the time, he is not even withing the ideal punching distance, but gets away with it cause of his incredible speed. All while the average fan sits in awe, ignorant to the vast amount of mistakes he makes. Roy Jones was plenty guilty of it. And since when does speed mean you are skilled? While as a smaller and slower fighter, you have to take 2 to give 1. Not to mention that being slower makes your style succeptible to scrutiny, cause one is able to observe all the mistakes a fighter makes. With that being said, by no means did they throw wide punches. Margarito? yes, Chavez, Sal Sanchez and RICARDO LOPEZ!? No ****ing way. P.S Roy Jones junior praised Sal Sanchez while commentating a few weeks ago.
:good Excellent spot on post.. I was gonna respond to this but didnt feel like articulating my reasons... COuldnt have said it better!
A list where you're choosing from Chavez and Margarito for the same thing is one ****ed up list. Unless it's chin.
Zarate shouldnt be on here he was more of a 70s fighter.... I believe his fight with Pintor was in 80 and when he cameback he wasnt half the fighter he was and didnt beat anyone of note..... Even if you consider his 70s reign there is no way he should be above Chavez.
