I've just seen this lad fight, his most recent bout, and he was very impressive. I remember a thread a while ago looking at one of Mayweather's early fights along with the correct assertion that no prospect today looks as impressive. Whilst I know it's a big statement to expect Pagan to possibly turn out to be as good, he certainly looks like an excellent prospect. His hands are lightening fast and when he fully develops into the professional style, I'm sure we'll see a bit of power to go with the skills which won him so many Golden Gloves titles. I think brooklyn has an excellent prospect in the making here. He looks very good. Any opinions on him? Does anyone know if he beat any good fighters at amateur level?
Was this on Eurosport this evening? The boy wasn't bad! Something like 5 golden gloves championships in a row and has just turned Pro? He looked good against what was a terrible opponent. Although if this was the eurosport coverage of the undercard of the Judah fight then I have to ask....what were the matchmakers thinking when they put O' Brien a WW in with a LMW on his pro Debut? Ok the guy Navarro had no skills but O Brien did not look good at all in that fight IMO.
yes good prospect but the main brooklyn prospects to look out for is sadam ali who was a 2x ny golden glove champion national golden glove champ, and won many national tournament an also was first arab represent the us in the olympics (lost to cuban gold medal winner yordan frometa ) and hes currently 11-0 and will rosinsky is another prospect from brooklyn and a 4x or 5x ny golden glove champion whos 13-0
