How much punshiment do you think he needs to take before you judge his chin?

 

This is a good question. What is the definition of having your 'chin tested'?

 

There's no set number of blows one must take. But I am not going to rate a guy who not only doesn't get hit cleanly too much, but doesn't even fight much, as having anything other then a normal chin.

 

That's what I'm trying to get at... What's getting hit cleanly much? Mayweather obviously is on the too little end. Who's someone you would say is hit enough to judge, but not hit a whole lot?

 

Lance just wants to see Floyd twitching on the canvas like Montiel. Then he'll say he has no chin!!

 

Didn't want to say that and I'm still awaiting an answer from him but that was my first thought... It's like a 3 1/2 minute video of Floyd taking clean or near clean shots in the first post.. He's taken his fare share. Hasn't taken a whole lot, but as much as he's fought he's taken enough hits to judge his chin IMO.

 

He's had over 40 professional fights, beaten several HOFers and has never been KO'ed or even knocked down.

Lance hates Mayweather with a passion, and is unable to judge him in anything but a negative light.

Someone could walk into the ring and hit him with a 2x4. Even if he remained on his feet, Lance would say he has a below average chin.

 

It is probably china, who know? He took a punch and had to cling for dear life from Mosley that Margarito was able to absorb 50 times more without flinching.

 

LOL, but Margo didnt take those body shots too well though did he?

And PBF was able to fight Mosley without getting violently KOed.

 

If he went 41 fights at the world level and never got hit cleanly, it would be nothing short of a miracle.

People say we don't know about his chin because they are simply trying to discredit him. That vid alone showed the man can take a punch.

 

If Gayweather received the amount of CHIN punches Margarito received, I don't even think he would last up to 3 rounds.


And the topic is CHINS!!!!!! Not body, otherwise you start another thread where it says "Mayweather's body is too sexy!"

This study shows that Mayweathers chin is nearly comparable to Pacquiaos, which many consider is almost Iron.

But if you take in the fact that this board is very biased, that leads me to believe that Mayweather Chin IS iron.

I've seen Floyd hit before with some clean hard shots and dude took every shot. I would say he has a chin better then most.
