Dzinziruk vs. Wolak in talks for August/September on HBO

Now watch Dzinziruk whoop on Wolak and still not get credit. Well by the Pac and PBF fans. The rest of us sane people know that Dzinziruk is a tough opponent without having to hear it from Americas website.

Very interesting fight.

Wolak is tailor made for Dzinziruk stylistically, but he's just a touch better overall than all the pressure fighters Dzinziruk has walked through (or at least the versions of them at the time).

A draw or Wolak points win would be somewhat surprising. A stoppage either way would shock me.

 

Very interesting match. I thought Foreman would be able to effectively outbox Wolak all night but that sure as hell didn't happen. Dzinziruk has a much tougher jab though which should be able to keep Wolak outside, but I still give Wolak a good shot in this match.

 

And that Mayweather legs are gone after Mosley ... unless he will not fight again, then in the boxing history Mosley will be the one who retired Floyd

 

I like Dzinziruk a lot in this match up. Wolak might pull off a few rounds but I see Dzinziruk winning 8-9 rounds here. It should be competitive though and is actually a decent fight overall. I also thought Foreman would win big over Wolak too so maybe he does have a chance here.

 

That's the thing, I thought Wolak could only win by KO whereas Foreman would easily win on points, this kinda seems like another instance of that. Wolak is a tough mofo and he's improved a lot, it'll be interesting to see if he can walk Dzinziruk down.

 

Dzinziruk is just greater in every area than Foreman. It's a matter of an A- and a B-/B boxer.

Some noobs/trolls will no doubt find fault with this since he's coming off a pretty spectacular KO loss, but Dzinziruk is actually a lot more durable than Foreman (who is no milquetoast himself). Martinez had to really put his nose to the grindstone to get rid of him...not to mention some people still somehow fail to realize just what an offensive force Martinez @ 160 is right now.

Dzinziruk has an enormously greater jab than Foreman, is more durable, harder hitting, sharper, better at defending with his feet set (where Foreman relies more on movement).

On its face, there are superficial comparisons to be made between Wolak-Foreman and Dzinziruk-Wolak as boxer vs. pressure-fighter match-ups, but IMO Wolak-Foreman can no better be used to read the tea leaves and predict the outcome here than any other such match-up on their combined resume..say, Dzinziruk-Santos for instance.

Wolak on his current form will be one of the best pressure fighters Dzinziruk has seen.

Dzinziruk will be far and away the best boxer Wolak's seen (his only real competition in that respect being Yuri and Sugar Shay Smith).

 

Interestingly; they have a common opponent in Brazilian face-first slugger Carlos Nascimento.

Dzinziruk popped his cherry with an 11th round KO.

Wolak labored to retire him after 5 rounds. (I was there live, don't think it was televised). So it looks like a better result on paper, but...it was pretty hot and heavy until the end and Wolak got hit a lot and threw the kitchen & bathroom sinks at a defenseless Nasc but couldn't knock him out. I remember thinking he ultimately wouldn't go very far because of that performance, and have been pleasantly surprised to have seen him prove me wrong to some extent.

He still hasn't improved to the point where I'd entertain favoring him over Dzinziruk for a moment (even a potentially broken-spirited Dzinziruk). The win over Foreman was unexpected and very nice for him in terms of visibility and cred...but doesn't at all tell me he's on this level. The memory of that Nascimento struggle is still too fresh.

 

90 percent of the people that criticize these fighters on message boards are cowards in their respective lives. Respect to men who show up to fight; no "exposed" if you lose... fight with honor and respect should be given. That said, I pick "The Razor." I think he is a strong fighter, and just happened to fight a bigger, skilled fighter who is peaking. Wolak is too one dimensional, and even tho' Sergei isn't a monster puncher, I think he has enough pop to keep Pawel off of him. Should be a decent scrap...

 

Dzinziruk is a nice guy i met him at foxwoods after the martinez fight. i hope he comes back strong! and imo he was making a comeback vs martinez before getting koed
