I like Cotto but JC Chavez would give him a beating and like u said the most problem would be the chin and Cotto leaves himself open way too much JC would take advantage of that and drop Cotto rather easily

funny cause i was watching chavez on youtube and him in Cotto fight alot alike. Id say Chavez is all around better only because like you already said, they have the same skills but chavez had a better chin apaprently.

More well rounded I would say Cotto. But that doesnt mean Cotto will end up being the better fighter, just that he looks more well rounded to me.

Don't sell Chavez short...he was a master at picking punches and landing anything he wanted on you. He's also one of the best infighters ive ever seen.

Chavez was more of a finesse pressue fighter who picked his spots for maximum damage and pain. Cotto is developing into a good boxer, but he relies more on physical strength. Obviously Chavez is better all around fighter.

Chavez in my book. What he did to a dangerous Rosario, taking down a building 1 brick @ a time was one I'll never forget.

Though they fought in similar styles, JCC is better all around fighter.

Chavez's punches were more compact and as somebody mentioned he was better at picking his punches. His chin is infinently better. His defence and head movement was also superior

I can kind of see why you made this thread. Cotto is a better athlete when it comes to what most define as athleticism. Chavez is better at what most define as being a fighter.
