props to Lemieux corner

I thought it was a great job by the corner. The kid was getting pummeled and wasn't defending himself at all. The referee would've likely stepped in in another few seconds anyway.

 

Nah...Marlon Wright would of ruled his bloody nose as a result of an accidental headbutt and had the fight go to the scorecards after 8 which would of allowed Lemiuex to keep his 0 with scorecards

Another prime example of judging in Montreal and Quebec.The ref Wright sure wasn't going to stop the fight last nite-at least not in favour of Rubio.

 

Yes it was a good stoppage. I dont blame the corner. Plus Marlon Brando Wright is not known for stopping fights even when they should be stopped.

Even with the fall in the 7th and giving the 6th to Rubio, Lemieux was leading the fight at the moment of the stoppage 77-76.

There is bad judges and referees everywhere, but you got something against Montreal it seems.

 

The irony of a guy named Michigan Warrior talking about fighters pushing through adversity is incredibly juicy.

Quick stoppage.
Great shape is the ability to recover quickly.
There wasnt much time left in the round.
Lemieux has the ability to turn this fight around with one shot.
And Rubio was definately feeling those shots.
He just wasnt showing it.
His mind was trained for INCOMING.
You had to take his mind off INCOMING.
And then hit him with something that he doesnt see.

 

According to the post fight interview Rubio said Lemieux lost the snap in his punches after the 6th round. The stoppage was fine, Lemiuex was spent, and couldn't hurt Rubio when he was fresh, he sure as hell wasn't going to catch him with anything when he was getting rocked and overwhelmed at a stage where he was tiring badly and rapidly. He didn't have the experience to pull off the win after what happened in the second round, waiting for a miracle was way too risky for a young fighter who can still have a great career. It's not really complicated, the right decision was made.
