Rubio did his fans proud on that one! Once again, Rubio was goin' right into the lion's den, and he did his thang!

It was a WBC eliminator, Rubio and his team looked so happy goin' back to the dressing rooms.

I tell you too, Rubio was cool as ice once he stunned Lemieux. He finished the job master class.

Yeah I gotta check it out. I figured he would give Lemieux a tough fight, but didn't see him winning.

Props to Rubio. Makes me wonder though whether this is about how good Rubio is or how bad Lemieux is. I was at the Pavlik-Rubio fight and was totally unimpressed by Rubio, although to be fair it was in Youngstown and Pavlik as coming right off the BHop loss IIRC, so he was looking for some get-back in a big way at home.

And like I said in another thread, I wonder if Lemieux's corner knows something about his chin that we don't; namely that it's really bad and he would have been done for if he stayed in there with Rubio. It seemed like a really early stoppage by the corner, and frankly I'm surprised that Wright didn't let Lemieux try to keep going if he wanted to. But then, all I saw was a yt highlight of the KO, not the whole fight, so I'm not totally informed.

I liked Lemieux going in. the fact is Rubio schooled him. He took all David could give him and waited until he tired out, then beat him badly. congrats to Mr. Rubio, great game plan and execution

Rubio was savvy. His defense was really good and that a was a big part of why he won. He was picking off David's shots. And then he proceeded to beat him up. Just another Canadian hype job.
