MORALES WAS PAST IT by the time he fought Pacquiao the FIRST time. What don't you understand that this man was absolutely beyond human in his PRIME. Head 2 Head his intangibles and every quality that made him what he was in his prime were exactly what allowed him to hang with Maidana yesterday, but that still doesn't take away the fact that his movement was severely declined both yesterday and even when he was starching himself to make weights for his Pacquiao fights. Morales was able to hang yesterday with Maidana because he is a flat out legend with a set of characteristics that just set him apart from everyone else.

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rN1o6mmXoJQ[/ame]

Look at how he moves in his PRIME very closely, leg speed, hand speed, combinations, unorthodox punching angles, POWER at 122-126lbs, and UNBREAKABLE chin!!!! Pacquiao never in a million years would have EVER beat Morales at 122 or 126. EVER

Some of you need to **** off trying to give Pacquiao full credit for beating Morales II and III. The wins were good because Morales is ****ing incredible and Pacquiao himself is a legendary fighter but don't try and re write history all over again by saying Morales was in his prime or anything CLOSE to his prime when he fought Pacquiao I II and III. Go watch a Morales career set of fights before you come on here spreading lies and bull**** inaccuracies.

    u n b e l i e v a b l e ! ! !

Morales not only was having weight issues but he was also coming off a discouraging lopsided loss to Barrera in a fight where he seemed like he wasn't there mentally/physically and without passion. He proved the doubters wrong by making his LAST STAND against Manny Pacquiao.

Morales beating Pacquiao past his prime in their first fight is the greatest accomplishment of any fighter of our era. You can't name a SINGLE more impressive win than a past his prime Morales beating Pacquiao in the first fight. I'm not discrediting Pacquiao AT ALL. Pacquiao gets full credit for destroying MAB and taking JMM through hell and back.

But with a PAST it Morales he couldn't **** with. The II and III fights are not that significant but they are decent/good wins for Pacquiao who was primed out at the time against a guy who was starched and past his prime in Morales.

Don't try and make **** up and say Morales was close to his prime. REALIZE that many dimensions of Morales prime game were GONE by the time he was fighting Pacquiao. 1 - he was not in his prime weight at 130lbs 2- he wasn't as fast 3 - he was drained 4 - he didn't have the same punch resistance in that drained state and 4 - Morales punching power was fantastic at 122/126 but nothing special at 130.

I know not everyone here feels that Morales was still perfectly fine by the time he fought Pacquiao. But some of you want to give pacquiao 100% credit for fighting an 100% Morales - and thats bull****. :deal

The funny **** is that I'm one of Pacquiao's biggest nut huggers but with this topic I gotta rant. Morales is Godly and thats that. I was on this board a long time ago ranting to people how Morales has a certain set of intangibles that makes him HELLISH in head to head match ups.

^ This man was literally a ****ing monster and not many 122lbers was ever going to **** with him. He could have matched up well with anyone in history in his prime.

Morales was past-prime by the 1st Pac fight, I think everyone knows that? Not really much point to this thread tbh.

Boxing history is absolutely littered with great fighters providing great performances past their primes though, a past-prime fighter is very, very different from a shot fighter.

Morales was a past-prime but very definitely not shot fighter in the 1st and 2nd Pacquiao fights.

Basically Pacquiao fought the Morales that fought last night in the I, II, and III fights. The basic foundation to Morales game was there but the prime characteristics that made him freaking unreal were no longer there. And thats what separates legend from amazing. Yesterday was just a little gift from Morales to make us all remember how ****ing sick he really WAS - not how sick he IS, but how sick he really WAS in his prime.

I made this damn thread because there is another thread trying to credit Pacquiao for fighting a version of Morales that was faded. And thats bullcrap. All these idiot Pacquiao fans (and I'm a pacquiao nut hugger) - need to buy Morales career set and watch his fights from beginning to end to see what Morales really was capable of.

    Past prime, shot, whatever.

That is however a way to shoot a past prime, shot fighter.

Not running around or potshotting. Just pure brutality.

His overhand right feint into a left uppercut

His left uppercut feint into an overhand right.

Its the sickest **** ever!!!:lol:

He attempted that 1 or 2 times last night but was too damn old and slow to pull it off. In his prime though, that **** was like clockwork - automatic..****ing BRILLIANT!!!:happy:happy

:yep you'd be surprised. You're about to hear a bunch of bull**** about a cut, about Manny being at his first fight in that weight class, socks, gloves, blood tests, and some even state that Morales was at his peak in this fight and in the second Pacquiao fight :-(

    NOPE

Pacquiao was already destroying great guys at 122 and ****ing rolled over MAB and JMM. The groundwork was already there for Pacquiao, and his speed/power ratio was even SICKER at the lower weights than it is now. Now Pacquiao has to land 1000 shots to take guys out, before he ended fights with 1 straight left cross. Do you understand how significant that is? The fact that Morales (weight drained) had the punch resistance to hang with Pacquiao who had an even sicker power to weight class ratio @ 130lbs? Do you even understand!!!!!:lol::lol:
