Channel 5 would be the dogs bollocks. Primetime would be a disaster.

I've always wondered why 5 and Channel 4 have never gone for boxing - especially 5 when you think they've got some sort of deal with the UFC.

lol what a joke. Amir Khan is managed by clowns. Frank Warren's column next week is going to be laughable. Amir Khan if u think burning bridges with Sky is smart then think again.

Sky have now wasted money filming 'behind the ropes' (which wont be aired now) and even though they found a slot for Khan's fight his walked away. Stupidity!! Sky must be fuming and if I was them I would just let Khan go to primetime and then just like Froch, Khan will soon realise that nobody watches that channel.

The funny things is Khan is now in the same position as froch in the UK.

Channel 5 would work - Jim Rosenthal would host on short notice. Commentary team?

watching khan on channel 5 would seem pretty strange. I honestly don't care who shows it, aslong as it's on.

I'm not talking about his money. I'm talking about the fight being at risk with no network in hand, and that the biggest fight of his career isn't on SS.

I think I heard it on here. Not a smart move, I know  but there's more than one channel involved.

    I'm anxious to know.

Except now Froch is heading to Sky Sports. Looks like a switch over is coming. :yep

I've just heard the fight will be on "just on tv".
You have to pay Khans manager 5 quid via paypal and he sends you the password.

The fight was at risk anyway if team khan wouldn't accept the offer from sky.
    Makes no odds to McCloskey

Maybe Khan (and his team) really dont care about TV in the UK? HBO and Golden Boy can promote him in big fights in the states.....

One thing is for sure, if that is the case, SKY will do EVERYTHING to bury Khan into obscurity, and make the likes or Burns, Degale, Murray etc seem like much bigger stars than Khan to the casual fan.

To be honest that would be great for both parties. Froch should never of left sky and the boxing people at sky know his always in good fights. If anyone deserves more exposure its him!!

If they really believe that then thats just dumb. FFS nobody knows how long the american dream will survive. If he lost a couple of fights it could be all over. Khan should be doing everything possible to build a big UK fanbase. Its not like it isnt possible to make a heap of money fighting in the UK.

Froch was on ITV before Primetime. It's a massive shame ITV are showing tripe like Britains Got "Talent" and Piers Morgan rather than boxing especially when fights like Froch v Pascal & Calzaghe v Lacy drew massive numbers.

Primetime isn't that bad. At least they don't show adverts inbetween rounds on PPV unlike Sky.
