aren't whites already dominating boxing as it is?
how can there be a white hope if whites already own the important titles and even the weaker ones be knocking people out

This thread is an excuse for racist arguments and jokes. Who gives a flying **** what Sergio Martinez is....he's a damn good fighter. Boxing needs a hope period no matter the color, one who fights the best and the fights fans want to see at the elite level. If I didn't know better I'd swear this was 1908 with computers and internet! :patsch

I know you are probably joking but then I had a recent debate with some Afrolatinos who swore up and down that Fidel Castro was black

Like who?? I just did a pfp list and theres 3 white guys in the top 20. THose being the Klitchko bros and Froch. With Bute almost making the cut. The rest Asian,Latino,Black or middle easter (Kahn). So where do you get this dominating boxing stuff from?

No it is an unbiased and non racist list. Besides the Klit Bros,Froch(who barely makes it) who belongs on there? Adamek is fighting at HW and therefore not one of the best pfp, and you could make a case for Bute but thats basically it as far as top 20 pfp guys go.

The Klit bros, Froch, and Bute. That's 20% of the list. Not bad considering whites stopped fighting in great numbers 40 years ago. :deal

One or two fools said it, dude.

I am out here on the East Coast, and during summers while I college, I worked around all kinds of Mexican-Americans and, presumably, mestizos. Sergio would be easily distinguishable from the majority of them.

You are indeed a very knowledgeable boxing fan. On this issue, however, you are very biased.

In fact, by your definition of "looks," I am a mestizo because I have similiar coloring to Sergio, despite the fact that I don't have a drop of Ameri-Indian blood in me.

You have hit the nail on the head. Anarci, being Mexican-American, assumes that all Latin American nations share the demographic make-up of Mexico.

Unfortunately for him, Argentina is not one of them. In face, 90% of the population is of European ancestry.

I have offered to have Rummy ask Sergio the next time he interviews him to settle the matter once and for all, but Anarci and others have declined.

Why? Because they know damn well he's going to say his people hail from Spain and he's not a mestizo. :bbb
