I couldn't help but feel bad for Kirkland on saturday

Yeah. The whole thing looked bizarre somehow. He probably took harder shots in sparring leading up to the fight than he took in the ring.

 

I didn´t feel bad for Kirkland at all. Those weren´t brutal KD´s and he didn´t receive any serious beating. Kirkland was a huge favorite to win the fight and everybody knew that Ishida was brought there to lose. Huge underdog winning a fight he was supposed to lose, is good for the sport. It brings excitement to the undercards.

I felt bad for Katsidis, he took a vicious beating and has too big of a heart for his own good.

 

i didnt i most been the rapid way he is loosing the weight his first comeback fight was at 168 hes been losing muscle that has to be the reason why he was so weak im glad he didnt face perro otherwise his career would be over

 

It was sad to see kirkland lose like that... It didnt look like the usual kirkland! What the hell happend? Hopefully he could bounce back...

 

First time I seen the kid fight. First impression was he didn't look like a great physical spicemen for Boxing. Short stocky and it appeared to me he has out-of-shape.Asides that, he was also over confident thinking he can walk the nippon down without getting pummeled. Well, he got a wake up call!!

 

Kirkland was the same as always......just ****ed with the wrong dude, which happend to be a very happy looking japanese guy with 6 loses. Kirkland never saw that one coming...he learned a serious lesson last night.

Ishida was an animal last night. That 3 punch combo right before the final knock down was sick, had Kirkland doing the chicken dance. Bring him back, the guy can fight.

 

I felt bad for him too. After his setbacks with the law I was hoping he would come back strong and make an impact on the sport. At least he's not finished.

 

I don't feel sorry for him, BECAUSE he did this to himself, before he went to prison he wasn't world class BUT he was decent and had potential, ever since coming back even before this fight, he hasn't looked good at all. IMO his career isn't quite done, as Ouma, Haye, Martinez, Kahn and others have bounced back from being KO'd before they hit the big stage BUT this was a huge setback.

 

I don't feel sh*t for him. He's a thug who went to prison.

He blew his chance. and his post interview was even worse.

F*CK him.

 

It's really shocking considering Ishida is older than Morales and was facing a more murderous puncher in Kirkland as compared to Maidana.

 

That's life man,hope he does not go back where he came from a few months ago.With that glass chin he might need to get Freddie Roach on his side,he has good supplements for glass jaws.
