Corona, mate... you don't seriously believe the British publc fit the hunting, royal family loving, tea and crumpet eating stereotype, do you?

You souldn't generalize on a whole country, there are some great people here, just as there are in America. I mean, you gave us Bill Hicks and Frank Zappa! I can't argue with that!

Personally, I don't drink alcohol or hunt, I don't like football (I HATE IT!), I play guitar, listen to jazz, and I'm a vegetarian.

Hey, your countrymen were bringing up all the "drunken Brits" at the PBF fight. I don't bring things up, and then you accuse me of it.

As I said, if you don't think there are any stadiums in the USA with any kind of atmosphere, then you've been going to the wrong places.

If you want me to give you the soccer rivalry crown, fine, who even cares? What's with all this pride that you have in your country? Your government typically does things with our government. You guys have been the same dipshits with Iraq and other stuff as we have.

Neither of us should be so proud haha.

I have lived in the U.S for several years and try to go to as many sports games as I can. I will say that their are some awesoem sporting rivalries in the U.S. Yankees/Red Sox Eagles/Giants Lakers/Celtics to name a few but what I do notice is that because of geographical size of the U.S it is very very rare to have a true rival atmosphere at many games because its largely all home fans, unlike in the UK where you can sometimes get a 50/50 split this almost never happens in the U.S. unless its the superbowl or somthing. However the noise at some of the venues is amazing and a great atmosphere all be it in support fo only one team.

WOW, you're soooooooooooooooo tough. In our country, soccer is played by little kids in recreational leagues.

There are too many spastics in America, it must be said

My proposal would be to bring the decent few over here. The criteria for this would be the people that think Joe Calzaghe is one of the best to ever lace gloves, or hot chicks. Oscar De La Hoya doesn't count as a hot chick by the way...

Our ladies suck. Your atmosphere, and knowledge of boxing sucks. Together we could get it right

Actually in the UK a rugby International has a better atmosphere than any football game. and yes I have been to an Old Firm game

You're right. You need it to be a fairly close rivalry. New York and Boston has always been like that.

You'll get Yankees fans at Fenway, and Red Sox fans at Yankee stadium. But, in general, it's more of an atmosphere that you describe. Most of the time, it's just bitter hatred held onto by the home team against the visitors.

I'm not saying what's better or worse. I just don't like all this being attacked bull**** constantly. The Brits here all seem to have a chip on their shoulder, and I don't know why...

I don't think the US is better than England. I don't have this superiority complex. I think the US government sucks right now, and most of our people are fat, lazy, and underachievers...

At the same time, you don't gain respect playing "soccer" in the US. You need to go to Europe and beat the best to gain respect...right??? Do soccer players make it big in the USA?

For Calzaghe to be considered truly GREAT, he needs to do it in the US. The US has traditionally been the place where great fighters become legends. Even Lennox Lewis became a legend on US soil...

that's a fair point you made about football. the us has been the home of boxing for a long time but we are definitely in a transitional period
