Absolutely, but HONESTLY, JC has not fought top competition in the top boxing country. I am not saying it's justified that the US is the best place to fight, or that the US deserves being considered the mecca of boxing.

However, because it is, JC needs to fight here, against the recognized top fighters if he wants top recognition...

It's like me saying that we have the best soccer player in the world because he dominates the MLS. The MLS blows compared to EVERYTHING you Brits have...Now, maybe the best soccer player in the world could play in the MLS, but until he proved himself against THE BEST, he wouldn't be considered the best, right???

    Doesn't that make sense???

Soccer isn't exactly regarded in most circles in the US as a "tough guy" sport. That's just a little info for you...

Mikkel Kessler, would beat Hopkins twice on the same night. B standard my arse

Hopkins throws more elbows and headbuts than punches these days

At his "best", he fought two of the seven dwarfes, got raped by Roy Jones and somehow managed to lose twice to one of the most mundane, gutless, fraudlent champions and products of the American hype machine - Jermain Taylor

He's not a legend in any sense of the word, unless by legend you mean overrated, racist cheat

Wrong! Roy Jones admitted on a BBC interview that he was ducking Joe Calzaghe. You will find it on the BBC website.

Wow...Lacy is the best guy to fight at 168 since 1999. Because since 1999, Lacy has been his biggest win (unless you want to say Kessler).

Give me a break. You know Joe hasn't made an effort to fight the best and get worldwide recognition. He's made an effort to rally his hometown base, and fight mediocre fighters to make some good money...

Did it ever occur t anyone that a lot of the top top U.S fighters are only where they are because of that very reason (the the U.S. is the mecca of boxing)? What if it wasnt? what if it was Mexico, or Germany, the UK, the Phillipines? do you think half of the Toney's and Jones's of this world would have left their home comforts and travlled half way around the world for a fight that they alrday knew pretty much would have been sititched up against them before they even landed?
