Here's the simple side of it. Pac just turned 29. In the last 4 years, he's beaten Morales twice (lost one close decision), beat Barrera twice, and had a draw with JMM (who he almost knocked out in the first round). Morales is an ATG and legend, as is Barrera. JMM is generally recognized as one of the best. Now Pac is fighting JMM again. This just in the last 4 years... Calzaghe is 35. From 1999-2007, he fought nobody. Since then, he's fought Peter Manfredo (Contender bum), Jeff Lacy (overrated bum, who has shown nothing since), and Mikkel Kessler (good fighter, but obtained a record and won a title by fighting all bums). Pac has moved in weight (thus P4P), and fought the best (he wins much more than he loses). In 4 years, Pac fought more great fighters more times than JC has in 14 years. Who cares how long he's been champion or how many defenses??? If he fought Morales, Barrera, JMM caliber fighters (at 168 or 175 from 1999-2007), he wouldn't still be champion. 44-0 is meaningless without listing the competition. Valuev had a great undefeated steak going to. Who was he fighting???
i've been bored with pac's progress over the last year or so. the morales 3rd fight was a bit pointless i thought. he proved his point in the rematch tbh. he hasn't won a version of the title at 130. time for pac to beat the best at 130. pac at 3 p4p i reckon. :bbb

Here's a simple answer: Calzaghe is cleaning up a relatively weak supermiddleweight division while Pac is busy brawling with fighters also in the P4P lists.
B/c Joe is only on the list due to his Talent and boxing skills.....The P4P list is about preformances in the ring that are either so dominant or so challenging yet the boxer comes out on top. No one says Pac is the best boxer in the world....but he does fight the best opposition available in or around his weight class. He dominates for the most part and he conituously fights at the highest level. Joe doesn't fight anyone who is a threat....Kessler was his hardest challenge to date since 1997 when he took the title from a fade Eubanks!...Since then he has stayed undefeated by fighting the likes of an old Brewster, mitchell and Bikas of the world...and those were his better opposition...that's a bit sad given that Joe is a very talent and highly skilled fighter that has never tested his self. Manny on the other had has tested himself and has come through even though he tasted the bitterness of defeat. Joe has held on to the WBO title for 10 years, which is a great feat, but when looking deeper in to this record one has to question his opposition, his unwillingness to leave his backyard and his unwillingness to face the Top fighters of his day during his prime and their primes. There is no questioning Joe's ability and god given gifts but there is questioning his career and why there are no Elite level fighters on it while other fighters who are on his level and peers do have stiff competition.
DM did something very similar to Joe...of course Joe has clear advantages over Darius in the talent and skill categories but they both never faught outside of their hometowns and faught very little elite level fighters....although even Darius had more "BIG" names and BIG challenges over Joe's career record.
